Nice...small world. And yeah, I was on the JV squad at Bogie and an instant starter on Varsity at Seminole - coincidentally, under Coach Killalea and with his son, John.
And did you play for Coach Price at Largo with Ron Hale?
Price came the year after I graduated, unfortunately. Ron was a year behind me, so I played with him 3 years..........he was a helluva player. We had a couple of teams that should've contended for state titles, but choked early in the playoffs. Was that around the time you were there at Seminole as well? If so I'm sure we probably crossed paths on the court at some point.

Very cool, what year and for what coach?
I never played AAU b-ball (was my second sport behind baseball), but I did play basketball for two years at Boca Ciega before transferring to Seminole for my last two years.
Must've been early 90's. Played for Bill Killalea and Clint Hrbic. Bogey was always a tough out, I had some friends that played for them.

Hi, I'm here for the sommelier course. It appears we've gotten a bit off-topic here on page 31, can we re-focus?

As a USF alumni, very excited for Thor and wish him the best! Always good to plant USF seeds in as many area high schools as possible!
As a Largo Packer alumni, BOO!

The game was even better watching with Sundome seats thanks @BullsWinBucsWin
Glad someone is putting them to good use! I bet they tie that living room together nicely!

Great story on a great Bull! Though I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that he's 43 and has 5 adult children, and I'm the same age with a 4 and 6 year old. Makes me tired just thinking about it, but I guess he's pretty much home free now.

Can we fill it though?
I think if we zip tie every 4 or 5 seats to maintain social distancing, we should be able to make it look respectable. May want to have the piped in crowd noise ready to go just in case.

It's an inspirational story, and I hope that he catches on somewhere and gets to play his senior season and does well. But I highly doubt that it will be at a top tier program. Hell I'd take him here in a heartbeat.
I'd love to be proven wrong, seems like a great kid.

Horrible news, way too young. Prayers to his family and friends. Don't believe I'd ever met him in person, but feel like I know everyone on the board in some way. Always treat your Bulls brethren with respect, regardless of our petty disagreements............you just never know.

Haven't read through all 7 pages of this topic, but was curious if anyone else read the thread title in the voice of Hal from 2001: A Space Odyssey?

I feel like I’m watching the closing scene from the Benny Hill Show on a loop

Shocker no context given to total population. These are HUGE schools.

I agree with the general theme of needing to be patient and not dwell on individual game performance in year 1, especially given the circumstances around this year, however for me it's tough to get past the fact that:
- We are in the AAC, not SEC
- We are in the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country
It should not take 4 years to be competing for the AAC conference championship

Willie can help you get rid of coronavirus but first he has to come in and blow up your numbers really large. Then he’ll take them down during the next couple years until ultimately he gets it down to very few. He’ll declare victory, move on to another school and explode their coronavirus results. Wash, rinse, repeat.
You left out the part about the emergence of a QB and RB, wearing #9 and #5, respectively, coming up with a vaccine to administer to the team

I was thinking the same. Maybe he had the tech to fake those kicks
Yeah, I have to say those videos looked pretty impressive to my untrained eye. Maybe all decent kickers can do that stuff, like aiming at and hitting goal posts on purpose, when there's no pressure. Or he's editing several sessions together.

This has gone too far. Guess I need to dust off the Rum Runner flasks. Can't watch without inebriation.

Where's that kid that had been posting daily Twitter videos of his practice sessions and begging USF for a shot? Wonder if he's ever been brought in.

Let’s call a spade a spade. That team we played yesterday is not top 15 in a normal year. They will lose soon enough and more than once. That ranking is very much a placeholder.
I’m all for glass half full but let’s be realistic. I get we’ve been down on personnel but the playcalling itself is Gilbert 2.0.
Cincy tried their hardest to gift us the upset, and we still lost by 21.

Makes absolutely no sense, but also not surprised.

Been to all of the big Bucs games in that stadium, that was the loudest that place has ever been.
