I'm assuming you mean 1st half and thinking the risk was far greater than the possible reward ...
Correct, I meant end of 1st half.

What I don't understand is why we killed the clock when we could have tried a shot down field at the end of the 2nd half. Not much risk with a lot of upside. That IMO sends a signal that we have given up and not wanting to try to win. Any thoughts as to why our coaching staff looked at this play differently?

Part of me just wants to turn my back and walk away and part of me wants to keep watching the fire that is USF, as its program turns to ashes.

Went to turn off the game on ESPN+, so I took a look at the "Live" games and all the games were "nobody" teams. Welcome to the world of non-reverence football and obscurity

I just wanted this to be a happier place. We were multi-touchdown underdogs... losing close gives us another week of fire everyone? I just want a break from our fans.
Too easy of a set up so I won't say it.

****** play calling. We drop 90% of our passes and we throw on 4th down...

It is refreshing to see a well called game.

Finally we get some good luck

why can't we throw accurate short passes?

Or an 8 second drive ending in a TD

Now we need an 8 minute drive ending in a TD

We don't have a deep bench, in most cases there's a big drop off from starter to their back-up, and a lot of second and third string players are seeing the field.
