The horrendous 1st half is when the D score more than the O. I know that they aren't perfect but it seems that some of you will never be happy until we play a perfect game. Without our defense we are 0-6.

We are 1-0 in conference play. Winning the conference should be the #1 priority. Of course we'd rather play better before, but now is the "real" season.

Still at home, planning a 2:30ish arrival. However, the cooler is loaded with beer and NA beverages. Plus a 1/2 a handle of Jameson, and a full bottle of 12yr old Jameson, only to be consumed after the 1st victory. I really want to break the seal so I hope we win today.

I think that this may be more of a reflection on the NFL rather than BJ. Coaches are becoming leery of having their QB's out on the edge getting the snot knocked out of them. Just a thought.

For those of you that want to fire Doug. Who would you hire? How much are you willing to pay 2 AD's? Are you willing to pay this money personally? It's easy to say, "he/she has to go". It's much more difficult to have an answer.

The department does consist of the football team, and since college football drives most of the discussion in college athletics its going to get a proportional amount of credit/criticism.

 

WRONG! The department consists of ALL intercollegiate sports. Just because you and your ilk can't understand that doesn't mean it's not true.

 

He hasn't been perfect by no means but he is still signing some nice OOC games, hired Stan Heath?, and was able to extend the girls softball coach. I wonder who he would plat at QB? Hell, I wonder if he can passblock 

1. He is an executive of an organization, thus while he is not responsible for our QB today, the performance of his organization is beyond abysmal. By all management metrics, he is not worth his pay, let alone his position. 

2. Nice OOC games? The latest is Illinois, a game signed because he has a connection with the current AD, not because he made the best decision possible for the organization. 

 

You do know that his organization is more than football, right? What other part is abysmal? Our men's soccer team tied the #5 team in the country at a beautiful on campus soccer facility. Our men's basketball team is one year removed from our first NCAA win. Our women's basketball team won an NIT title in 2009 and last year made the NCAA's. Our softball team is a perennial power.  His organization, is not in shambles.

Really? Now list USF's attendance, along with the number of alumni and students. Can't believe you people would bring up this topic.

Ned, um had an average record of 9.5 W to 2.6L over those years. um had 2 undefeated seasons, 5 1 loss seasons, and 3 2 loss seasons. um had a losing record in only 2 of those seasons. Yet, um averaged only 50K. That is sad.

Miami talking about somone else's attendance is extremely amusing. Even with all of the wins from 88 to 07, they averaged over 60K twice.

Having a board name like that reminds me of those that claim to be in la cosa nostra. If you say you are, you aren't. 

If the current staff are given a chance, we will "re-overtake" the teams that have "passed" us. I see our current status as a speed bump, a HUGE speed bump, but we will be over it rather quickly. Coach T is recruiting very well, we have a QB in the system that will have an entire year of, studying the playbook, eating the meals that will help him put on wieght, and hitting weights to help him put on muscle. Not to mention that he will grow naturally. Everyone coming back will have a year under thier bealt.

Roberto Clemente: One of the greatest baseball players of all time. Sorry, I’m pretty sure that CJL was never going to go down as one of the greatest college coaches of all time.

Frank Kush: Coach at ASU from 1958 to 1979, 21 years before his “scandalâ€. He won several conference titles and finished in the top 10, wasn’t there for a cup of coffee before being sent back down to the minors.

I never said that we have to forget the history of USF while CJL was here, whether he did what he was accused of or not. But to hold onto the hatred that some of you have is bad for your own health.

At least Miami fans don't put on Gatas hats and shirts whenever USF is not playing.  (you know that is true) 

 

Only proves that the U has a small enrollment, and one of the smaller alumni bases in the State.

 

USF students wear goaters hat and shirts, What, just because you guys have under 13K undergrads. I had FSU season tickets for several years, had some great trips to The OB, usually an FSU loss, but great games. You could tell that there were always a bunch of UM fans that only went to 1 or 2 games a year. And it was very apparent that many of them didn't know where the UM campus was. Like most schools you guys have a solid core group of fans. Just seems as though that more of the "casual" UM fans tend to lean more towards the thug side of life.
