  1. People can buy tickets in the lower bowl if they want? A simple, $1,000 donation and they are permitted to buy up to 8 tickets at $40 per seat per game.

If they open those seats to the general public, why should people donate to the Bulls Club?

No... everything in the lower bowl sidelines (except students, faculty, visitors, and the south endzone) should never be for sale by USF without being part of a season or mini game package (with a required donation).

As stated by another user... $1000 isn't simple for everyone.... That said, tickets in the corner of the south endzone or family section are relatively cheap and don't require a donation.

Closing the upper bowl should be relatively easy.... even for the rest of the season. If ST's up there are given the opportunity to move down to the top of the south endzone for the remaining games... the view is fine from there. Next season they have the option to purchase ST's in the lower bowl. We shouldn't be selling ST's in the 300's.

I agree about not selling upper bowl tickets but the 1k donation needn't be seen as a huge one time burden. Can be done with monthly payments of $83.33 a month.

  2. Drink some coffee or sleep it off.

    This^^

Yes it sucked to lose, we can all play Saturday morning coach and say kick the fg instead of trying to push for the td but it was a tight game and getting 7 at that point would have been big. Pretty sure you would have all castrated Holtz for being conservative and kicking the points.

I like coach's drive, can't wait to see what he does the next 2 years.

  3. Played down near Bradenton on Friday, Waterlefe was a fantastic course and in good shape.  Legacy was a good layout but they have recently undertaken a huge overseeding project so it was still a little shaggy and cart path only, should turn aroung in a few weeks

  4. There is supposed to be a shuttle from somewhere near the New Brunswick train station to Rutgers.  But don't know if you want to ride a bus with their fans.  As someone suggested, rent a car and park in the church lot right on River Rd.  If you use the schools lots you have to take a shuttle bus and ride with their fans.  Funny story, well interesting anyway, after the 31-0 blasting we were headed to the parking lots early.  Seeing that we had USF gear on, a woman called us from behind and asked how to get to USF's team hotel.  It was Leavitt's mother in law.

The shuttle bus is easy enough, have used it for the three games I have been there, both travelling solo and in a group, never had any issues either before or after the games.  Its an easy 45 min train ride from the city and you can get the tailgate started on the train.  The only part that can suck is the wait for the train back but then you can always hit up a local bar or the famous grease wagons are literally a 5 min walk from the station

  5. amazing how big a difference two wins can make

if we beat Ball State and Temple-- we're sitting at 4-2 and maybe the board isn't going ape****

nah-- we would still be moaning about something (and perhaps rightly so)

You can even throw the Rutgers game in there. We had tied the game and then had the ball back. Could have easily won that one too.

On the flip side, if the Miracle in Reno didn't happen we would be sat at 1-5 with a win over a 1-AA team. Think of the moaning that would be happening then

  6. Just booked the 3 Peaks Resort and Beach Club in South lake Tahoe from the Tuesday - Friday for $59 a night, looks like it has decent reviews, Circus Circus in Reno for the Friday night.

Which Sports Bar is it that is open early? might make a better option than the tailgate

  7. Flying into Reno the Tuesday and then out the evening after the game.

Planning on going to the Lake Tahoe area during the week then back to Reno to stay there the night before the game. Looking at hotels for the Friday in Reno, looks like Circus Circus is the cheapest and seems well situated. Has anyone been out that way? any suggestions on places to stay in the Tahoe area?

Anyone doing the Alumni tailgate? seems like pretty good value considering its in the stadium so there is free food for 2 hours before and for the first half

  8. Wow, talk about an atmosphere! And they didn't even have a band in the arena. It's just a cultural thing, we are more of a clap and shout kind of people here in the states. We like our football, and basketball, but we are not as passionate about it to that point which can be a good thing since you rarely see riots after games, and a bad thing 'cause you don't see this type of atmosphere.  The atmosphere in sports' venues (and even on the streets after a great win) is one thing I miss from PR. Whenever Tito Trinidad, or our basketball team would win a fight or a big game you'll see people on the streets beeping their car horns, waiving the flag, and just going crazy(in a good way).

I dont believe that I have seen a riot after any football games over here....so we rarely see riots also...

And who needs a band?  everyone has a voice...
