So, if ND goes to the Gator, the Sun will have the 2nd place Big East team?  If that is the case Charlotte could be a real possibility again.

No, if ND goes to the Gator we lose that bowl. If the Big 12 option is taken by the Gator, the Sun is the replacement. I think the Sun can take ND in that spot too, but I'm not 100% on that.

In large part the whole Sun/Gator deal was set up on the Idea of having a shot at ND.  If Nd is available no doubt the Gator jumps on them.. if that happened BE is out of the mix.. and the Gator bowl will have used both of its BE ties.. will have to take big 12 the last 2 years... in those 2 years if Nd was available the Sun can take them.. over the BE #2.. thus in a worse case situation(not a likely one) the BE could only have 1 more trip to one of these bowls in the next 3 years.

How would you rate the 12 D-I teams?  Here are my rankings:

1. FLORIDA - Only two losses are to Kansas by 2 and at FSU by 4.  Solid tourney team.

2. FLORIDA STATE - Big losses at Pittsburgh and at Wisconsin, big win over Florida.  Could be dancing in March.

3. MIAMI - Up and down team.  Nice win over #24 Georgia Tech, but also has losses to Northwestern, Cleveland St. and Binghamton.  Possible NIT team.

4. CENTRAL FLORIDA - Utah win was alright, but not much besides that.  Possible NIT team, they'll need to finish at least .500 in an improved CUSA.

5. SOUTH FLORIDA - No terrible losses, but only decent win is Buffalo.  Possible NIT team, but will need 5 or 6 wins in conference.

I have not seen much that says there is a big 4... other than on USF boards.

Again... what does attendance have to do with being in the Big 4.

I'm still waiting.

Like it or not perception is how u get into the big 3... Having an 8-4 year and going to your second minor bowl.. are steps in the right direction.. but U nor us are seen as being anywhere near the others.  

UCF has also added a 3 star Juco QB to the mix.. greco.

just shows what I keep saying... USF and UCF are not the big show in their own citys.. there is no big 4... there is gators.. noles ... Canes... then the lil boys.

USF is receiving votes ... a BIG Bowl win will "help".

GrothE's name will also help generate press.

An Auburn victory for Game 3 will definately help.

A win against a 7-5 CUSA school in birmingham.. can't be a big bowl win.

I expect USF to win that bowl even though I'm rooting for ECU.  

I expect U to have another good year next year...I also expect FSU and USM to be better than this year.. esp FSU.  UF and FSU and UM mostly becaus of curiosity about new coach will get lots of publicity... USF and UCF will be mostly after thoughts.. Unless one of us does something big... like go 11-1 or 10-2.

I'm not knocking your OCC schedule... I dont think U should play more than 1 big time program... I'm only saying.. we are not ducking anyone.. just spreading them out.. just like U should do.  We need home games looking ahead.. and its best to bring in some bcs teams.. to orlando.. we originally had UF for our big time game next year.. traded it for tex.. saved UF for later year.. and added a home n home with NC state.. to me thats tribble doing a good job of scheduling.

According to usa today they will have press conference to announce his hiring today at noon.. Maybe coker or amato will wind up at cincy....

I imagine the NBE will be a good stepping stone conf to the big 5 bcs.  rumor has it SMU and Coker are talking.

I think U are stretching it a bit... but will concede u are at least as good as fsu and UM this year.  If they played your schedule they likely win 8 games as well.

I was at those games.  The lower bowls were pretty filled and they hold over 40k.  I think it's pretty close(within 1-2k or so?)

I was at the Rice game... 25k was a better guess...
