It is quiet out there.  Any news on how the search is going?  Has USF made any offers yet?  If so, has the offer been turned down?

I really think Stan is trying and I'm not sure he knowingly committed an NCAA violation (if there is even one).  I do question his coaching effectiveness and the ability to develop his players.

Have to admit, I'm thinking we need a new AD and fast. DW has done a lot, but time to pass the keys.

 

Seen this twice from slick in last hour.  Scaring me.

 

 You all are going to need to wait until he retires. DW is such great friends with the people that have the power, so I dont see DW getting fired anytime soon. Just the way it is. We should be happy with the facilty upgrades. And we all should be hoping that CWT turns it around for football. Personally, these people in power are the same that got rid over a coach that was loyal to USF. A coach that broke down in tears after the win at WVU while being interviewed by ESPN aftet the game. How can USF kick that guy out the door after a BS slap??? They are getting what they deserve right now. It sucks for us fans that have to suffer with them, but they killed the golden goose as you like to put it. Not sure how it can be fixed without long term suffering.

Need to get rid of the president and AD then hire Jim Leavitt as the AD. If the coaches don't win get ready for a headbutt.

Same team that beat the worst ever usf team by 3 points on their home field. Reality.

And? That win helped UCF win the conference and get UCF to a BCS Bowl. In 2008, UCF took Usf into overtime. Usf was ranked #17 and UCF was 4-8 that year. Things happen.

point being you are 2 players and head coach removed from being a bottom feeder in a bad conference. You better hope the stars continue to align, because it looks like it's only down from here for you.

I don't expect UCF to win a BCS Bowl every year. I expect down years and rebuilding to occur in the future. It happens everywhere. What we achieved this year will suffice for a long while. And to those using UCF years of having football in comparison to USF are lost. USF was in a BCS conference since 2005.

UCF gobbled up our sloppy seconds in 2005 when they replaced us in CUSA.  Now they outplay us, outspend us, out-fund raise us and out-facility us.  Sadly, by most measurements, they have the BETTER ATHLETIC PROGRAM. . . . . . . which is amazing given the fact that, just eight years ago, they replaced us in CUSA.

 

 

Instead of poking holes in their success. . . . . we, as fans, need to keep the focus on our shabby leadership that let this happen.  LET'S FOCUS ON USF ATHLETICS!

I even got a phone call from my rep to make sure I had received my package and to see if I had any questions.  When I told them that I would renew in January, the rep (can't remember the name) said he would call again in three weeks. 

Another 2-10 season and I begin to scale back on donations.

The Skip Holtz error is more punishing than NCAA sanctions with schollie reductions.

Nice guy but he killed this program.

 I'm not a Skippy fan but his recruitment was not as bad as everyone thinks.  He had a 57th, 60th, and 67th, according to Scout.  Compare that to UCF who had 56, 53, 119 on those same years and look what they did. 

Nothing to look forward to for next year

We haven't earned a move to anything in P5. We have little school history, even less football history, and we're not winners. However, fix the last thing there and IMO it would trump the first two.

Also look at the amount of money we raise from donations.  We have to get to at least 10 million range before the big conferences will look at us.  You can see why Louisville and Rutgers got picked off.  The school needs to get more alumni to donate.  Money  makes things happen people. 

I was at a booster’s get together in late summer.  Woolard mentioned how he was very proud of the athletics facilities improvements completed in the last couple of years, all done with private funding.  He also hinted at further enhancements.  I thought at the time, maybe a stadium!!  However, that might have been derailed, or at least postponed with our performance in the field.  Kind of lost momentum to get into pockets, if you know what I mean.

Woolard is buddies with John Ramil chair of the USF board of trustees.  Both have adjacent boat slips at Uncle Henry’s Marina on Gasparilla Island.  They pal around and fish together.  Woolard knows which A&& to kiss to keep his job.  Look how quick Skippy was fired when Ramil express disgust last year after we lost to Temple.
