We will get left behind in the AAC

I would be interested to know just how much input Harlan has, or had, on the firings. And how much, if any he'll have on the hirings.
Would he straight up say that these three areas of the team were the weakest, and changes needed to be made?
I feel the same way

Has Harlan sat down with Willie to discuss the program yet? I've read that was going to happen this week. Or are these changes a direct result from the Harlan/Willie discussion?

This is so trueI will throw another cog in the wheel. Harlan has been out of town and will be until Wednesday. Obviously he is up to something. IMHO what if Harlan brings in the OC and DC that he hires. If they are his men Taggart has to live with it. Which puts CWT on a real short leash. Harlan does have a football background. This could force Taggart to change or leave.

Hopefully Harlan is outta town with some serious mojo in hand to sell the Big 12 on looking at USF when they inevitably expand. Cuz every other interested school's ADs are vying for it.
Cincinnati is a shoe in for the next round and UCF will probably go with them. Big 12 may actually want to stay out west and could try and pull in a BYU and/or CSU instead. USF isn't on anyones radar for many, many reasons and most have to do with mismanagement by the administration from Judy on down. Harlan was put in no win situation thanks to that mismanagement before he got here. C'est la vie.

This is all just a big waste of time. I'd be shocked if they win six games next year. Ultimately, they'll fire him after 2015. Based on what I've seen I can't imagine he makes it.

We need Butch Davis

In Year 3, "we plan on going to a bowl game," Taggart said
What I guess we were not planning on it this year!!!!
-
Well at least he put a timeline on it
-
Let's see what Harlan does. If Willie stays then someone else needs to go. Somebody needs to be a sacrificial lamb to show this is unacceptable

Who get's fired if Willie stays

We are all over Bulls..UCF is taking over the Mosaic box Friday. Actually I think the Bulls will still hold majority. We shall see. I kind of want to leave the box though. Not intimate enough for me. I need to get a few beers thrown at me..you know..the good times..40 yard line at least.
Mosaic Box, been there several times. Bulls do hold a majority at Mosaic. I used to recruit engineering co-ops for Mosaic. My office is at Four Corners.

We can afford to fire Willie. USF is paying for fired coaches and we still pay almost one million dollars less in coaching salaries than UCF

If he is a good AD, Harlan should be making inquiries about a new head coach by now.

I have to bring this up again, given the performance tonight.

I'm going to bed, this is BS

Willie will get one more season at least to start. He will be fired before next season is over.

All good choices some better than others but I still prefer Butch Davis. Turn two programs around. Just have to make sure he does things legally

I'm leaing toward Butch. He rebuilt Miami and North Carolina. Just have to make sure he does not do something illegal with the NCAA

Butch is a winner. I would take him.

Where is Butch Davis at?

Who is a proven winner that may want to come here
Well, that depends entirely on what the head coaching position at G5 U of SF has to offer. Exactly how would a tour of duty on Fowler Avenue enhance the resume of a "proven winner"? Is there more risk than reward for 'proven winners' who would, in essence, be relegated to mop-n-bucket brigade to clean up what would then be a four year mess? I'm sure there's a long list of coaches who are chompin' at the bit to take over the program, given that it is positioned for nothing but greatness, being only two or three players away from being two or three players away from our old middle-of-the-pack ways.
In all honesty, I don't see CWT going anywhere for the next two years. Seriously. The seventeen year old program has been a learning experience for a lot of people. Don't know who's on the AD's short list of guys to call in the event of an opening, but I'm sure he has a contact or two should the need arise.
Well put. I just can't see (or hope) Harlan putting up with an empty stadium and dwindling donations past next year.

he also looks lost on the sidelines. No control of the team

If we keep Taggart and he has another bad season we'll have to hire somebody good but affordable. We have to pay coaches AAC money now so we won't have many options. We need a guy who will get us 21+ points a game at least.
I think taggart will get one more year. He won't get more than 4 wins next year and his offence will rank below 100.
How far we've fallen
