I'll be there

Thanks, Brad, for the recognition. I think I joined the night we beat Southern Miss for the first time after coming home from the game.

This AD is only good at raising money. You wonder what the board of trustees is thinking

I'm still bummed i can't find a hat that the baseball team would show up in. Guess I need to get to a baseball game and see if the even sell them there.
I feel the same way you do. Let me know if you find one

Did anyone get a game jersey for early renewal? I finally got mine Thursday, and I don't think my 4-year-old grandson can fit in it. it is smaller than small. When I inquired about the size, I was told they were intended for framing not wearing.

I mentioned on this thread that I wrote a complaint email to the AD and board. Well I just got a call from the USF athletic director Michael Kelly. We had a good discussion and I respect an AD that would call an alumni and a long time supporter back. Mr. Kelly is trying to do the right things. I respect that and gives me hope.

He will hire another coach’s son that he knows, nepotism runs deep in this inbred, incompetent group of misfits.
Here is the rub. Who is going to come here when you are a head coach with 8:1 odds from getting fired? Most if not all of the time a new head coach cleans house.
-
So you wonder what kind of a choach is Scott that it took this long. Probably forced on him by MK and the board. Maybe my complaint email had some effect. Who knows!!

I haven't posted in a long time, but I wanted to voice my frustration. I've watched every USF football game since I attended USF back in 2006. I went to most of the home games and at least one or two road games a year. I used to donate and talk Bulls football with people all the time. This UCF game will be the first that I won't watch. I just don't care anymore. This was the year I gave the team to pull me back in and then we show only marginal (maybe) improvement and get left out of conference realignment again. I don't give a hoot of we beat any of the teams coming into the conference. Those are the kind of teams we should beat into the ground for a gimmie ocs game and the kind of teams a coach should get fired for losing to. To be fair, all of athletics has let the fans down. The drought of no conference championships in a major men's sport from 95 until last year's fluky baseball championship set the ncaa record for longest drought amongst schools in D1 who compete in football, baseball, and basketball at the D1 level. When it comes to winning anything of importance in athletics, USF is the worst athletics program in the country. Hard to support that. Especially considering the resources and advantages we should have. Extreme gross negligence.
I feel the same way and I have been a season ticket holder since 97. Maybe we may need an athletic director with winning coaching experience in football. Someone with experience that will recognize poor coaching early and will get involved. I'm frustrated. I wonder if Scott has any minimum performance matrix to meet besides winning.

McClain is all we got, he was awful today, shake it off, come out fresh on Friday and get smoked. Go into the off season and regroup, we may not be winners but we do have ourselves a nice culture. (That one was for you Brad)
Don't forget a good progrum

Does Tulane have the second string in already?

Rock bottom is after the UCF game.

Recruiting will also suffer and we will continue in a downward spiral

I feel the same way. I used to freak out if I could not watch an away game on TV. Now, I'll just wait to hear how bad we lose.

If Scott does not make changes to the coaching staff in the offseason, he should get fired.

Spencer is not the answer. Place the defense in position to make plays. When they fail due to a lack of talent (presently), at least you're coaching them up. This bend, don't break nonsense just leads to inevitable failure. Let these QB's torch our secondary on the deep ball (you still have to be accurate on the deep ball). It's better than playing eight yards off the wide receiver and allowing them to play pitch and catch with the QB. The last thing a wide receiver wants to do play after play is think about his initial moves on his route becomes the cornerback is playing man coverage. Typically a DB is going to be more physical than a WR. That physicality will take it's toll on the WR during the game.
Look at our wide receivers. We have some great wide receivers - however you can tell they're not used to getting beat up play after play after play based on them continuously checking out of the game after getting tackled.
Spencer's philosophy is failing our guys - and their lack of talent exacerbates the issues. And please God, work on tackling drills. Stop attempting to make an ESPN type hit on a ball carrier. We look foolish giving up extra yards because we lack the ability to wrap up a ball carrier.
Well said

We have more then enough talent to play significantly better...I'm not saying in the the top 50 in the country, but the top 80...and if we in that area, we would at least have a couple more wins...this is on Spencer...
Agreed

IIRC, Dabo fired his Offensive and Defensive coordinators after Skip's USF team beat Clemson in whatever bowl game that was around a decade ago, leading to Clemson's turnaround. Maybe Scott can take a page out of Dabo's book and do the same...
Totally Agree

It is Wednesday afternoon. Is there really an announcement coming this week?

You seem offended. I made no comment regarding you. I was simply tying my question about the Orca to the thread subject matter so as not to be too far off topic. Lighten up.
Sorry Brad. Yes, it is an Orca 40 QT and looks almost identical to my RTIC 45 QT that I have on my boat. However, the lack of those 5 QT makes a big difference. For example, a wine bottle will not fit standing up (lid won't close). The color and logo are great and it is roto molded cooler so it should keep ice a long time. I also bought it for family gatherings to show some bull pride. I have Gator and UCF alumni in the family. Sorry again I was really bummed out about the conf. thing. Go Bulls!

Is that the Orca? You plan to tailgate with that while discussing how the OCS is too late for conference expansion?
Yes, and I will always be a Bull. I never said I would boycott the team. I merely expressed my thoughts on how we got to the point of being left behind. When and if we build the OCS, I will donate (not as much as some) to help pay for the stadium.

Yes but it really hurts. I wish I knew how the leadership felt about this and if our leaders care about our win loss records.

Personally, if we build an OCS, I don't care what conference we play in. We can stay in the AAC forever and I'll be fine with it. Playing in RJS makes good USF football not as good, and it makes bad USF football pointless. I would rather watch us play Tulsa on campus than Kansas St. in RJS.

I know I was there for the Lifetime Alumni. In consolation, USF put on an adequate spread (food that is) for a game.
