Just remember that Scott coached McCloud's brother at Clemson. There is already a connection there and I wouldn't be shocked if Jordan enters the season as the starter.

I saw some good things out of McCloud. Was he perfect? Absolutely not!... but... for a kid in his, what, 3rd year at the position, he did some good things. He has the tools (I don't think his arm is as weak as some of you, I guess it is when he's playing with a separated shoulder, but, hopefully that's not the norm).. He had a little bit of Q clutch-ness in him during the close games at the end.

I certainly think we could do better, but, I KNOW we could do a whole lot worse. Prop up the line and tailor the offense to him and JM can win some games. We'll lose some too, but, that is our world.

I am 1000% opposed to Franks. His demeanor and arrogance are a turn off for me in addition to bad decisions. He's a WAY less likable Blake Barnett.

AGREE!!!!!   Do not want this kid in our locker room, he is all attitude.

  2. Today I set up a twitter account so I can follow CJS (Yes there are many of us who did not have an account).   The excitement of the new hire, along with accessibility of the new coach, brings me hope.  I can already see that he is a man who today's athlete can identify with and follow.  Our football team needed a transfusion of new blood, energy, and character.. I think MK hit this one out of the park!  GO BULLS!

Puc would be so happy he would purge TBP for almost one full day.

I would get behind that, but I really don't see CJL being an assistant on the program he built. The only way that happens if he honestly doesn't want the pressure of being the HC anymore which is possible an understandable at his age.

I think CJL would actually be okay with DC job at USF as long as one of his original players is the Head Coach.  Think about the pride he would have watching one of his players guide the program, and the satisfaction he would get providing advice and guidance to that player so that they can rebuild it.  I think this is the only way the naysayers come along for the ride, and it also gives the supporters a way back to the program.   It is almost like a probationary period for the fans and CJL.   Think this would also be a huge coup for MK to pull off.

  4. If it is Willie T or Bell, I may be the first to complain.   If Willie puts up 5 million to IPF, I will quietly disapprove, but tolerate it.   If Leavitt gets the nod, I will donate to IPF.  It has been 10 years, time served, we need a man who will bleed Green and Gold.   I will also embrace Larry Scott, or either of the Clemson guys, or any person with experience from SEC programs.
