  1. Lastly, would UCF (another directional school) be hamstrung by the same "budget constraints". I'm looking at you Big12 invite, OCS, Conference Championships, BCS appearances (and wins) and Top 25 rankings. Good decision making yields results. What we've done? Stubbed our toe on every big decision.
  2. You don't think we are financially strapped because of habitual bad decision making? USFreak is a holdover. That Freak is dead. Now he is just here to provide commentary on what he sees as asanine decision making.
  3. Clearly a few of us (you certainly) have more insight than most. If it is the admin saying "no" that's just stupid. If it is Leavitt not wanting to come back...well, yeah that's something for sure. Obviously there's no beating my head against the wall. I simply (like a lot of others) don't care. We are apathetic. I was cheering for my daughters team over USF the other night. I like Malzahn, their brand of football and what they've accomplished. I'd like to see USF take positive steps but, to me, the only way to do that at this juncture was Prime or Leavitt. Prime may not have been reality but he would have injected life into this bloated pig. Leavitt would have just done Leavitt things to pull this team out of the ashes. This Tennessee coach is just another mistake to put on the timeline of constant mistakes. Now the fanbase can beat their head against the wall on no FCS wins, no OCS, a **** conference and a tradition of being in the basement.
  4. Last thing I'll add is I had a group of about 20 of us that would go to every game in the Big East days. Season ticket holders that loved the experience. Not one of those 20 has been to a game in 8 years. That's called losing. The sad thing is without a seismic shift not one of those will go to a game again. It isn't "fair-weather". It is just how the whole process has been handled. I was messaging Brad earlier about "threshold moments." It is something I preach to my kids. You got to hit the marks at the correct times. We totally missed on all of them.
  5. You don't invest in a dead-end proposition. We're all investors I'm assuming. Or even workers. Do you put your money or effort behind a company you know that continually makes poor decisions and goes in the wrong direction? No. I was USF's biggest fan. OK, not really but one of them. The Leavitt firing was the beginning of the end. I saw a speck of at this very moment to remedy all the bad that has been done since that point. Nope. Fail. But you are correct "I don't consider them fans." I'm not a fan. They lost me and a lot of others. I'm a graduate and an observer at this point.
  6. Absolutely. At the worst it boosts 47 fans to 103. God the incompetence. I haven't been on this board in probably 8 years. Better life pursuits and the Denver Broncos filled my time. I can draw some parallels between on USF and the Broncos poor long-term decision making. The difference: The Broncos will get it turned around.
  7. Lot of truth in this vid. This was the total deathblow to this program. Kelly absolutely blew it with everything hanging in the wings. You have an empty rented stadium every Saturday and are trying to rally money to build something on campus. You lost 75% of this board (people who may not be well heeled but actually care). The new students know we are perennial losers and don't show. Now you've lost everybody that was on the fringe of caring. I'll take a picture of the back of my car. There is a Cal Poly sticker and a UCF sticker. My first two kids go to those schools. There's room for a USF one but it serves as a metaphor. Nobody is going to throw good money after bad on this program. They've shown to be totally incompetent in hoops and in football. They lost the real fans and honestly I see no bigger donors (alums or other) rallying around to get this stadium built. AAC forever!
  8. Honestly what was that Clue ********? Dumb ****
  9. I literally can’t imagine a worse outcome from this entire process. Anybody that doesn’t consider this a total disaster…
  10. Good Lord. I can’t imagine a worse outcome from all of this.
  11. Hiring a Tennessee assistant when you had a chance to resurrect this shithouse? My daughter goes to UCF. You pulled up and UCF went big. Enjoy. I’ll never watch another game of this ******** team. You ****** the dog. Leavitt literally sitting in town to make everything right for 3-4 years. Get the infrastructure to build the next two decades. Go UCF. Got to cheer on a team that gets it.
  12. I thought the guy was a fine choice. Re-engergize the program, win a few games, build his resume...but anybody that thinks any of these also-rans are more qualified to lead for the next 3-5 years (probably less) are better than the guy sitting in box seats at the Lightning games...****, I don't know what to tell you. I know nothing of this AD but these goofball games with the Charlie Brown Christmas tree, picture, donation tank and the board game is absolutely stupid if he picks another dud. All signs point to that right now and that should concern everyone on this board that cares. I seem to only care when a coaching change is made. I read the tea leaves, know it is going to be a failure and walk away until I'm proven wrong. Hasn't happened much outside of Taggartpalooza. I actually thought he had some moxie and came up through some decent coaching lineage. Alas, he's proven himself out in later years to be a dud. Prime or Leavitt would buoy this program. Anybody else - I see no pedigree out there that rights this ship.
  13. I see no way in hell Leavitt returns to USF as an assistant. Even I (the biggest Leavitt apologist alive today) see his ego never allowing that to happen.
  14. Mediocre against a better schedule than we've had in the past 6+ years. Now we just plain suck.
  15. This is true. I don't necessarily think Sanders can coach but the level of player that end up on the field would likely vastly outshine a AAC slate that just said good-bye to its best teams. He could pocket a pretty good paycheck and USF would provide a much easier runway to rack up wins and notoriety. Living in Colorado I just don't see Sanders here. Florida, very much so.
  16. Hmmm, interesting. Maybe that's where the train stops.
  17. I agree the real clue is the bucket because without Leavitt or Deion that thing is going to stay empty.
  18. Work with today's generation? After leaving the 49ers he's been a DC pretty much every year but this one. A few of those teams pretty much did a 180 (in a good way) the minute he walked in the door.
  19. That's actually pretty funny. Sadly, quite accurate and there were a lot of clock blunders over his tenure.
  20. Its time to resurrect this shitshow. PrimeTime ain't coming here and there really isn't anybody else that should jump Jim for this opportunity. I know a lot of people say "no way" and Dave says Judy will be butthurt. Who cares. You bring him in, build a stadium and actually have something that looks like a defense for a few years. Good Lord.
  21. Empty stadium on "rivalry" weekend and the school we hated moving to much, much greener pastures. Listen, I get it is pie in the sky but Leavitt is pretty much the only thing that is going to right this wreck. Call me stupid or old or whatever. Any other hire USF throws their $$$ at is just more wasted money. Go Bulls.
  22. I would. Only thing I'm convinced fixes this old gray mare.
