    Yes. Further ahead.

Were you a fan back in 2013-14? Those seasons were completely hopeless and were the standard I feared we'd experience now.

That's not what's happening this season. We're seeing the team improve week by week and there's plenty to look forward to.

Yeah, and I can tell you those 2013 and 2014 teams were able to win a few FBS games by now. Hell, we best Cincinnati without scoring an offensive touchdown. Last year we couldn’t get one win. Don’t care what anyone says, this is year TWO for Scott, not one. I hope he proves me wrong. I really do.

Before the season began, how many FBS winds did you expect us to have at this point? The way it worked out, we've had one of the toughest opening 5 weeks in the country and being without an FBS win is what most fans expected for this opening stretch.

Last year is a completely different story. If you're trying to compare it to the circumstances Taggart inherited in his first year, you're just looking for reasons to be upset.

The wins are coming. This team is further ahead than any of us expected at the start of the season.  The defense is a depleted mess but the offense is further ahead in its development and will carry the team to a few wins.

Further ahead with 1 win vs an FCS school, blown out by 3, and some dumb decisions that cost us one vs BYU. I’ll believe it when I see it. Who wouldn’t be upset? Winning is such a thing of the past that even our “beat writers” are just celebrating covering the spread instead of wins.

Idk man we really shouldnt be THIS bad so deep into the CJS era. Look at what Pittman has done in Arkansas (a dumpsterfire of team for three years before) in his first year. Coaching can really make a huge difference and it shouldn’t take this long.
CJS should at least have ONE FBS victory under his belt by now.

Thank you! People keep giving this guy benefit of the doubt. No! Willie got an FBS win in his first season after Holtz’s mess. Why is everyone content? I agree, it’s good to see guys making plays, but at the end of the day we haven’t won a game against an FBS opponent since October 26, 2019. That was almost 2 years ago!

  4. We need to somehow, someway prevent the big play. Their QB has a big time arm and will make you pay if you don’t play well in the secondary. That’s my biggest concern. I just want to see us bring some pressure and for our corners to play the ball. Hell, I’ve seen a lot of plays where are guys don’t even know the ball is there.

  5. What does The Daily Stampede have against Jim Leavitt? From constantly reminding everyone how “he will never come back” to “what a mediocre coach he is”…

To top it off during their preview of SMU they literally said they hope if the broadcast mentions him to be sure they mention how/why he was fired. Seriously?

Getting Leavitt's contact info and being buddies with him isn't cool to Nathan so he made it not a part of his agenda. Good thing for Michael Kelly though, Nathan can be his personal advisor for all future career moves cause he's his bff and isn't worried about our school and program

Can we all agree Nathan is an angry little Irishman?

I wouldn't bet a penny on us winning next week either, but I'm curious to see what it looks like. Bell getting the offense together is what I'm looking for. Might take a few games....might never happen....but we'll see. You would never know it from last night's game, but we do have weapons on that side of the ball. I think the defense will eventually be good this year. Long way to go.

But, but, but Collin Sherwin said we'd win next week.😥
