A lot of fans are indicating or implying they know something. Some have backed off. There is absolutely no way Kelly or his staff would have such loose lips. It would be stupid. I think it is more jockeying to be able to point back they told everyone first.
Uh, word gets out. Nate of TDS last year leaked the OCS news back before we played FAMU last year and it turned out to be true… not saying that’s the case here, but they are acting suspiciously cautious about something it seems.

A few that I can think of:
1) Improvement of game management from Scott
2) If Timmy is the QB (assuming he retains the role as the starter) - better footwork and situational awareness.

There coach was a tough **** the man and win despite all odds kind of guy CJS by contrast is a soft do whatever it takes to not rock the boat and winning isn’t that important as long as you do things the right way kind of guy, we need a coach like Lou Brown but we got a Roger Dorn
Yeah. Dude is a nice guy and all but I really wish he would grow some nads and make it at least seem like the goal is to win.

I didn’t mind them. I actually think it cool to wear throwbacks (even just the helmet) and go back to the retro RoboGoat logo for at least one game a year.

Nah, I would rather wait until the season is complete before giving judgement and support these players who are working hard. Not in denial, but if I am going to **** on the team in the middle of the season.
Who said anything about ******** on the team? Players aren’t the problem (well maybe some), but coaching is a HUGE part of the game, especially at the college level. CJS hasn’t been able to learn from mistakes this year and last. Let’s see if that all changes
First order of business should getting a new DC and maybe parting ways with some guys on staff who were just playing ball a few years ago themselves. I’m all for giving opportunity but aside from Spencer it’s all guys who have never coached before for the most part.

And the whiners will keep on whining…
Whiners? Lol you can have your 1 win FBS coach and dead last in the conference recruiting. If you think CJS has shown any promise so far, you’re in denial.

1-3 (maybe) with a win against Tulane and the CJS apologists will think this it’s progress.

I would love for this to the week we kick Jeff Scott and his inept staff to the curb.

wins and loses are immaterial
recruiting and transfer portal is vital for scott and the program
florida, fsu and miami programs are all down
Wins matter more than anything. I wouldn’t say “immaterial” or else why the hell are we a program? I would think that matters to the fans too.
But I agree that recruiting is huge, unfortunately it’s another task that CJS and staff aren’t good at. -

In my opinion he sucks as a coach and sucks as a recruiter, but he does deserve a 3rd season as I am a firm believer in coaches having three years to show what they can do. If we are having these same threads and conversations on October 30th, 2022, then I don't think he should see year 4. If I had to lay some money down now, I would bet that Kelly will fire him at the end of year 3, because I don't see any drastic improvement on the horizon. 2022 looks to be more of the same.
Yup and he has no ties to Miami/Fort Lauderdale/ Palm Beach. Also, look at the current commits, what do we have 4 commits or something like that? All being QBs and WRs. People are so naive they think it’s too “early”, meanwhile you look at Cincinnati who has 18 commits.
I hate to say this, but I too don’t see him being the guy to turn this around, which completely sucks going through yet another rebuild at the worst time possible too.

Year 2? I read on this board that Coach’s first year was actually zero. (I’m unable to like your post, I’ve used up all of my likes)
Our fanbase is so lost. It’s year 2, like it or not. Time is ticking for Jeff Scott. I for one think CJS is inept and has to go. #firejeffscott

This lands squarely on VPMK, we needed a quality hire and had money to do that and he hired Daddy’s boy that was a CO-offensive coordinator that was not calling the plays so was more like an OC asst. The guy is in over his head, if you can’t recruit or coach then we are relegated to a win every other year. Having trouble finding even a glimmer of hope for our future.
Yup. Another bad hire. Not sure why our administration can never get it right. Scott is a clueless, gutless coach who I have 0 hope in turning us around. What sucks is we’ll have to start over, which mean another several years of mediocrity amidst conference realignment to top it off.

scott is a man standing there owning his failure
And doing nothing about it week in and week out. You can admit it and own it all you want. Fix it.

if he cant recruit he is toast
i dont expect wins this year or next but if we cant out recruit the competition he will not last
He's already toast and not built to last. Recrutiing is important but he's had enough time now to squeeze out more than just one win (and no, I'm not counting FCS wins).

Not with Jeff Scott. Put a fork in it.

The offense blew it on the two drives in the red zone in the first half... the entire offense.
And the coaches with their 4th and 1 up the middle EVERY **** TIME.
From the shotgun. Yet CJS admitted he was wrong to call it against Tulsa. What does he do multiple times this game, runs the ball from the shotgun. If I were this guy I pull the headset from Weis, but of course not. He never learns, nor will he. How many **** times does he need to make a mistake before he addresses it?

there are lot of problems in all facets of this team-- defense, offense and of course the coaching staff itself.
arguing which is the biggest problem seems pissing into the wind
Coaching matters the most in the college game. You’re talking coaching 18-21 year old kids. If you don’t have that it’s hard to do anything.

Worst hire and it’s not close. Guy has no semblance of football IQ.

Anyone know where I can find the post game presser?

we would have been just as well off letting CCS finish out his contract and avoiding the current turd. Not winning at all is getting super old.
Firing CJS? sure, I guess. But tell me we hire someone at a discount who is HUNGRY and not just some lucky assistant mope with no experience. How about we try looking at SUCCESSFUL HEAD COACHES who coach at the FCS level or higher who have shown they know WTF they are doing?
Cuz these last two turds---- YUCK--- TERRIBLE MOVES.
I’d take Larry Scott at this point. He’s been doing better job at Howard than Jeff Scott has here.
-
At this point I’ll take a conference win by any margin.
-
I would imagine everyone can agree a loss to a bad Tulsa team is utterly unacceptable given how much progress has been shown. Of course there will be Twitter horseflies who will get bent out of shape for any negativity towards the team and coaches if we did lose next Saturday… this is a must win game.

Fernandez can fly a kite. Recruiting in his field is completely different, not to mention an entirely different sport.

Willie Simmons would be such a lame duck hire. Reaching for FAMU’s HC… my how far we have dropped off.
