Keen could be in the lead

    Sands is a stud

    D line will be fine

    Saftey is a problem

Hope we get a kicker in the fall

TE will be a major part of the offense

Don’t see where you are getting the Sands info from.

Its hard to take a lot of this as fact when Knight only watches 10 minutes of practice.

?? How can you say this? There is NO evidence to support it. We have no idea who the QB will be and Cronkrite was beaten out by Scarlett and run off by limited playing time at UF - one of the worst offenses you'll ever see. He was explosive? Show me. I'm hopeful, too, but a "skyrocketing passing game, more explosive running game and 600-yard avg." without guys like Q, Rodney Adams, Marlon Mack, MVS, Tice, Johnson? Wow, that's some stretch! I do like the confidence and optimism, but there is no evidence at all . . . yet.

To let it be known, Cronkrite wasn’t beaten out by Scarlett. He was the number 1 guy through all of camp until a concussion on their last scrimmage. He then had a falling out with the head coach before the first game once he was told of the rotation and was penalized from there. Cronkrite was never a favorite of that staff and it showed in the opportunities.

I can't imagine Battle is really in the running.

RB might be a mediocre RBBC.

Secondary is losing a lot, but is able to replenish. I'm not more worried about them than the front seven. For me the concerns are LB > Line > Ends > Secondary.

Special teams wise, we have nothing returning at ... returner. Johnson and Fullwood have been the bell cows. They're gone. I expect someone good to emerge, but concerning nonetheless.

I have to disagree with the RB by committee approach. There is a huge difference between Cronkrite and the others on the roster. Let’s be honest, the backs last year didn’t set the world on fire. Tice found the holes half the time but didn’t have the explosiveness to be dangerous and DJ just would run into the back of an OL or Ed Oliver.

I expect a significant improvement in the RB position compared to last season.

  4. By not really seeing either QB in real game action, it’s going to be the guy that can complete the throws that’s Q struggled with this season. This will keep the defense honest. From what I’ve been told O should win the battle just due to overall talent.

It will definitely be the guy that can hand off the HB dive flawlessly as well. Just realize that HB dive will look a lot different next season. Tice had more success than DJ but just imagine when there is a better RB seeing the hole with elite burst.

    Brian Norris.

    No doubt.

He will be an early enrollee and will play spring ball. I don't think he will take a red shirt. He's the big power back (6'2, 220 pounds) that CCS likes.

Strong/Gilbert do not use more than 2 RBs in their rotation. For a kid that doesn’t have great speed and played lower level ball he will need an adjustment year. His film is not impressive and shows that.

Do not be surprised if Cronkrite is used like Foreman was during their last year at Texas. He would have been the starter this year if eligible.

Sands will most likely be the #2 and Bell and Mack will fight for garbage time.

I'm more interested to see who takes the top depth chart position for RB - Cronkrite, Sands, or E. Mack?

Don't count out the kid from Chiefland too.

The kid from Chiefland will most likely RS. There will be a battle for second string at RB. If Mack and Sands were really that good they would have pushed for more reps this season which wasn’t the case.

If Sands doesn’t switch positions then I would pencil I’m as second string. Mack will be delegated to special teams only like this year. Bell may also make a push for some reps as well if he learns to run inside.

  7. Being realistic and seeing the personnel that is on this roster, they should have won today but these players, especially flowers do not fit the system. He is extremely limited as a QB which is completely handcuffing the offense. The O line is a year away from really knowing how to block for this system and having the attitude. There really aren’t any game breakers on this roster. I’m sorry

This is loss is equally to blame between both staff and players.

    Really...this yr?

The coaches gave him limited reps since he wasn’t playing this year but with what he did in those reps had everyone feeling the job would have been his if eligible even with those reps.

If you look at this years RBs, Tice is having  more success and fits the style of running that this offense needs. Patient North-south runner with good vision, one cut and go. Cronkrite is the same style just bigger, faster and stronger and probably better vision as well. DJ has struggled more because that’s not his style as much.
