All that sounds nice but, the bolded part, I don't see a difference between last season and this coming season.  There will be mostly all new parts again.  Another season to gel and we can win 2 conference games at the end of next season.  I hope you're right but I think I'll keep the $1,200 for season tickets for another sport or donation.

We have a decent core of guys that have been with the team all of this season, some guys who had to sit out such as Rideau and Yetna, in addition to the guys who played Collins (superstar in the making), Justin Brown (good shooter and hard working), Scekic (very tall).  The newcomers, the 3 incoming signed plus the Croatian big and possibly one more signing will add extra depth and help round out the team. I think this team will have the talent to be pretty good, but whether or not they achieve all that they can will come down to their chemistry on the court and if Brian Gregory can continue to get these guys to be their best.

Me too .... but still have to remember that he got a 6 year contract for a reason. We're losing a lot in the locker room and on the court with those three grad transfers. Hopefully Rideau and Lang can fill some of that upper class leadership, along with a healthy Holston and more utilized Martin. I won't be surprised if we hover around the same record next year, and won't mind if the newcomers to the program are able to get valuable experience, like Brown and Collins did this year.

While I agree with you about losing a lot in the locker room. I think the increase in talent will allow us to hover around .500. The growing pains will continue early in the season but with Collins having the key to the offense and having scorers like Rideau and *knock on wood* a healthy Holston, not to mention what appears to be a pretty solid recruiting class. The team will show another year of improvement.

Absolutely, I enjoy hearing what the other team has to say!

    I won't be going to the game. I have a 8.5 month pregnant wife I can't abandon.

I hope you caught the joke...

  4. Attending my first USF basketball games as a student was very fun. Our women's team is fun to watch, and the men's team appears to be going in the right direction. I do not feel that the men's team has enough pure talent across the board to really compete for anything, however they have heart and Gregory appears to be a good coach. Having heart and a good coach is half the battle and can get you wins in close games as we saw tonight.

All I know is that if someone scheduled an exam over a CCG time slot that we played in, I'm starting to look into changing majors after I no showed that exam.  Luckily, I work now and have already booked separate flights to Memphis and Tampa in case we make it.

Luckily they have a day specifically for makeups, so I would have no problem missing an exam slotted for our CCG time slot.
