  1. This is very unconfirmed so take this with a large grain of salt, but I've heard that he got a phone call from Jimmy Horn and when he answered it was Deion on the other end.

I am expecting him to end up in Colorado once this all shakes out. However, as I said HUGE grain of salt with this.

Don't know anything aout this guy but his record looks pretty weak overall.  Hope for the best expect the worst.

I know very little about his coaching style from an X's and O's perspective but... this wasn't just Kennesaw State's first tournament appearance since becoming Division 1 in 2006, it was their first WINNING season in Division 1 period.

I'm pretty sure a coaching decision isn't being made based on any one player.

Of course not. However, Byrum Brown is now the most important player on our roster.

Hiring a coach that will not utilize his strengths would be a recipe for disaster.

  4. This hire needs to be done with Byrum Brown being the biggest consideration. We need to be going for a guy who will look to build around him and his strengths, and assuming McCall goes to the NFL or an ACC/SEC school Chadwell seems to maybe be that kind of guy.

I think Byrum Brown would flourish in an offense similar to Coastal Carolina's as would Battie.

I, like everyone, allowed myself to get somewhat excited about the idea of Deion Sanders possibly being our coach but I don't really think that was ever realistic.

Spot on. I can tell you that Maryland doesn’t think about West Virginia (football) Duke or North Carolina (basketball) anymore, West Virginia could care less what Pittsburgh does. This is a new era in college football where rivalries mean nothing other than money, which is why USF and UCF were forced together. We need to focus on our own personal goals and focus on that. Every other school that exists means should mean nothing to us, just another opponent to beat.

I can tell you from experience that the students at West Virginia still have a hatred for Pittsburgh, and Maryland fans want nothing more than to play Duke and Carolina in basketball. The administrations may not, which if that is your point that is fair. However, fans will always crave that rivalry experience in all sports. I do however agree with Triple B's post that you are responding to that we cannot be dependent upon another program.

I was referring to Timmy's 5 passes in the American conference but 6 total makes it worse not better . The offense was so bad at passing  last year . I know Timmy was a true freshmen thrown to the wolves but it is what it is.

Timmy only had 5 TDs. Kat Marsh added 1 more to give our team 6 on the season. Timmy is a bottle full of potential, but that's all we've seen out of him... potential. Jeff Scott and co. cannot bet their jobs on potential. Bohannon was and is the clear cut best QB at the University of South Florida.

Don't you guys lose your QB for the future with McClain transferring? Is Bohannon good for 2 years or just 1?

As Brad says he has 2 years, and the coaching staff really likes freshman Byrum Brown. Bohannon and Brown also seem to have developed a very close relationship off the field.

Timmy showed some legitimate flashes against some very good teams as I'm sure you know from watching the War on I-4 last year, but if we are being honest for a team and coaching staff that needs to win as quickly as possible he was never going to be better than Bohannon this season. Gerry just led his team to a 10-2 record and a Big 12 Championship, Timmy was the QB for a team that finished 2-10 and he had a 5:7 TD:INT ratio. Timmy has all the potential in the world to be a great college QB, but his timeline didn't align with our coaching staff's.

You do realize that this is how we got GB, right? Look, it's the new world of college football but since has to sit out anyway, I'm not sure why he wouldn't stay here this year.

I think the difference between the GB and Timmy situation is that Gerry had already sat out as the backup for multiple seasons. After finally winning the starting job unfortunately he suffered an injury that led to the coaching staff seeing what their younger QB could do. The Baylor coaching staff through honest communication with Gerry told him they were planning on going with the other guy.

Timmy is a young QB who realistically shouldn't have had to play last year anyway. Unfortunately for Timmy he was clearly the best QB on the roster even though he really needed a redshirt year to adjust to the speed of D1 college football. Timmy looked great in flashes against some good defenses but his decision making was suspect at best and he really could've used a season of growth physically and mentally.

The rumors I had heard toward the end of the year is that she wanted to go pro and move back to Italy.  So this is a bit of a surprise to me.  Don't know of any rift between her and coach.  Maybe 4 years of listening to the same coach wears thin.

This sort of sounds similar to Laksa at the end of her career with us. She entered the portal as well, but ended up going pro. Maybe Pinzan just is using this as a sort of formal "I'm leaving the University" notice, not that she plans on joining another school.
