You've heard of USF "USFing" things up before, right? Well, the biggest way USF can "USF" this OCS thing up is to not include shade structures of some kind. I can't emphasize how important it is to include some kind of shade in the stadium. It's one of the most important features, if not the most important feature.

There won't be shade...costs would be ~$50M more just to shade one side.

    Jim's pretty good at this...

Maybe he can do USF games when Jim Louk retires.  J/K USF banished him.

No dead air at all.  He still talks a lot about USF.

Just to be clear, my ultimate life goal is to replace Jim Louk. I would be ecstatic on every level. I will literally do it for free.

Out of all FBS schools, we are ranked 18th in sacks and 5th in tackles for Loss. Hell, we had 4 sacks/8 TFLs against Alabama, 6 sacks/13 TFLs against FAMU, 3 sacks/8 TFLs against Rice, and 1 sacks/5 TFLs against Navy, and our worst game was  0 sacks/5 TFLs against WKU. As for a stat called "QB hurries or pressure," we have already matched our output from last year with 7 games remaining. What lack of or subpar pass rush are you looking at?

And this is why Gatorbull325 is the best!

Pitino would be a good hire! Not sure why he would leave New Mexico so quickly, as he seems to have had success there and is similar school.

Why do so many out of town journalists (i.e. - Mark Ziegler, etc.) seem to have scoops on our Coaching search and yet our local ones have nothing?

The coverage of USF is brutal!

I think a week ago I said Richard Pitino and I stand by it!

I will admit you are correct and I am usually intentional about being a part of the solution not the problem and the pity party. That being said, my frustration with the obvious problem with this football team and the complete lack of focus on that problem is just too much and too blatant. And the Golesh gets sarcastic to Will Turner in his press conference about the defense ("oh really? we were last were we?"). If you are going to be cocky, and the go back to recruit, and STILL ignore the defense, you're poking the bear.

Hence the comment. I hope I am wrong.

I will take your observation though and do my best to stop beating this horse.

I highly doubt that he is not trying...but a stronger offense that puts the other team in a hole then makes that other team one-dimensional which in turn is easier to defend. Hard to say that a better offense doesn't at least have some favorable impact on the defense.

  6. We're talking about 18-22 year old kids...how many piss poor decisions did you make at that age? We are harping on a kid for saying he is staying, then changing his mind. He might have been offered a million dollars or literally any number of things that would change any person's mind. Hate on the coaches (definitely the band coaches) but not the kids...never the kids.

Andy Kaufman had nothing on your performance art, the only place MK would get us invited to involving the P5 would be as an example of what not to do if you care about moving up. My Kylie lipgloss will remain safely in my save for later cart as the only reason anyone will be kissing his ass will be goodbye.

DM on where I can get that Kylie lipgloss...sold out everywhere!

I still think if CJS brought him in last year instead of Schoop he still has his job.
Rowe was a finalist for the job last year.

I am 100% in favor of AG choosing all these early to mid career guys and not relying on retreads with questionable pasts.

12intaint! is easily the best username on this board!

Why should they be all-in on the local DI school?  Media organizations are (well their sports departments at any rate) are neutral and cover all aspects of teams of interest to their readers and viewers.  Should they cut all coverage of UF and FSU and assign Matt to cover USF only - is that would you would do?

Yes, absolutely. I don't really understand the logic any other way? "Oh but there are so many alumni in Tampa from FSU so we need to write for them." This makes no sense...a ton of people in Tampa used to live in New York but you don't see local New York stuff on the front page. The school in the actual market where the newspaper is should be the most newsworthy...it is certainly the school with the largest economic impact in the area, certainly the school with the actual games taking place in the area, etc. Quite shocking you would think anything different.
