You also were found criminally negligent in the death of one of your own players.

I despise them but this "comeback" is played out in my opinion.  I would like to think we're above bringing up a deceased player a decade+ after the fact.

Definitely dreaming about his throwing. He did look a bit better both throwing and running this past game, but I won't go so far as to say he shows any QF in him, yet. BK is fodder at this point. No way he overtakes BB and, if he does, I'm going to be paying @brybull1970 whatever he wants if CO is the starter in the near future.

He throws the intermediate pass in more rhythm and more accurate than Quinton did.  There's no way he'll ever match Q's big play ability but it does seem like he has a flare to him.  Needs to be coached up though like everyone has said.

  3. I think Oladokun has the potential to be electric if developed correctly.  He has a little bit of Flowers in him and even throws a better ball.  But bringing in other QBs randomly to spell him during games will only hurt his development.

I really think that game could've gone a lot differently if we would've just stuck with him the whole game.

Was expecting the usual “their fans trashed the fairgrounds” thread so I took this photo after our tailgate.   I’m not sure how much control USF has over it but it would be great to have trash/recycling service in the lot like we do.  They are basically cardboard boxes with trash bags inside them and they distribute them everywhere with golf carts.  We proactively brought bags but I’m sure many of our fans didn’t.

Edit:  Nevermind - an iPhone photo is too large to upload I guess so just picture a photo of trash in a trash bag.

    Fail.

Then you should understand that you have to have leaders on the field and we don't have that. Once again, you can't just make those magically appear. This team is young, you can't "overthink it".

It takes a rare kind of person to already possess true leadership qualities in high school.  In the football world that's what college coaches are supposed to be for.

Ok well its also the most recruited area in the nation, we not only do we compete with UF, FSU, and UM but also EVERY OTHER P5 TEAM EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI and some west of it, so throw that part of your argument out. He's only been here a two years so you can't blame him for not winning before that, so throw that part out. When those those other teams go through their young cycles, they are undisciplined.

The idea of win a championship in two or get fired mentality will never work. You have to have consistency, Im really not sure you quite understand how this whole thing works.

Again its not fantaseyland, its reality

It's pretty clear that I don't understand your definition of how "things work".  But I like to think that I have at least a decent idea of what good leadership is, and this team doesn't come anywhere close to having it.  Again I have to question if anyone who can't see this with the eye test is actually watching the games.

There is a difference in having one or two and half your starting 22.

Excuses.  This is the defeatist thinking that gets you the level of mediocrity we've existed in for so long.  We recruit from the most talent-rich area of the nation and play in a middling conference that we should have no problem winning at least every few years.  It's totally understandable that every program goes "young" every so often but just by opening your eyes, it's plain to see that this team's lack of discipline goes FAR beyond just being young.  I know it's only been a couple years but it's time for a new coaching staff.

I love how some think its so easy to make this many Freshman and Sophomores look good. You can only tell them so much. But I understand coaches are just supposed to magically make it happen on the field.

You're right, it's definitely not easy, but the worrisome thing is this team has gotten noticeably LESS disciplined as the season has gone along.  Doesn't bode too well for the next couple years.  Besides having young players isn't an excuse for other teams, why should it be for us.

They seem convinced that we are much less ready at the QB spot. That leads me to believe they have not watched the games closely. Comments to the effect of considering BB no where near as good as QF

    They gon' learn today.

Just a couple more names to remember come election time in regards to their decision making process. From the Times:

    STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE

Legislators get in on UCF title claim

Maybe you thought the push to make undefeated UCF a co-national football champion was over after that Disney World parade and that proclamation from Gov. Rick Scott declaring it the national champion in Florida. But now a bill has been filed in the Florida Legislature to create a specialty license plate honoring UCF as national champion. The bill is co-sponsored by Rep. Jamie Grant , R-Tampa, and Rep. Guillermo Smith , D-Orlando, a UCF graduate. Grant went to Auburn. Why is involved? 'UCF beat the team (Auburn) who beat the team also claiming to be national champions - Alabama - a team with a long history of making up national championships.' Amy Hollyfield, deputy managing editor, politics, sports and features

Just wow.  Good to see this fairy tale championship is now taking up the valuable time of our state legislators.  If I put one of these on my car and get a speeding ticket, can I use delusion as a defense?

  11. This is the ultimate fairy tale, UCiF maneuver from Mouseland.  The fact that they're doing this makes how the season went a little less painful.  Sure they had a great season but from a marketing perspective, this hurts their brand and alienates them even more from the blue bloods and P5 honks.
