  1. Looks like Strong is expecting to be in town for a while:

University of South Florida football Coach Charlie Strong has some posh new digs — a nearly 7,000-square-foot waterfront home in South Tampa.

Strong and his wife paid $3.2 million this week for the Mediterranean-style house, which was on the market for just one day. Located in Beach Park’s Pirate's Cove area, it has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, a four-car garage, a pool and a covered dock.

One sticking point could be over his son Cade, who was given play calling duties this last year.  Kerwin may be trying to bring his son along.  Not a real fan of nepotism.  Didn’t work in Tallahassee under Bowden and didn’t work at Miami with Richt.

It worked for the Holtz's at South Carolina... oh, wait.

Alright, I'll come clean, Bell's a ******* Gator. I'll support him 100% if he gets the job but until then there's no need for a ******* Gator to have multiple threads on this particular board ........... Plus, Kerwin's one of the dumbest ******* first names I've ever heard!

    And there's also this again:

Not real worried they're going to steal anyone from us. We're fishing with hot dogs in the Hillsborough River off the bridge on Florida between Seminole Heights and Sulphur Springs. Miami is out looking for sailfish on a charter.

Haha. Yeah, I agree but they need smaller fish for the lower position coaches. Houston isn't quite out in the deep sea though.

  5. I sure hope they don't sit on this decision. A lot of activity is going on. Ole Miss just hired (former Bull coach) Calvin Magee to work with Rich Rod and Holgorsen and Diaz will be putting together their staffs at Houston and Miami.

    From Football Scoop:

"Manny Diaz says he has three quality “finalists” for his offensive coordinator position. Says he values getting it right, more than moving quickly to make a hire."

  6. "Strong told the Times that the program, which ended the season on a six-game losing streak after a 7-0 start, would undergo a significant house-cleaning."

This is like a janitor blaming his brooms and mops for the dirty building. How did he just figure out they weren't doing a good job after two years? The only hope I have for next year is that Kerwin Bell does come here and brings some guys with him, but that still leaves a mess of a defense to clean up and Strong is short on supplies.
