Mcmurray and Nunez are both looking very solid
-
Exhibition game, doesn't count towards our record.
-
They really struggled against Davis last week running the ball and breaking contain, so hopefully the same goes for flowers. Also Mack needs some big gains or we have no chance in this game, he really has to be on his game.
-
QF needs a bit of practice with his post game interviews. Did you see his on the field post game interview with Lauren Gardener? Wow! Lot of opportunity to improve.
Go Bulls!
Didn't bother me. What I loved about it was that it showed his love for his teammates and coaches and that he is truly a leader.
-
Is there going to be a live stream of this game?
-
Wow, Claudio Correa is now in first at -6 and 2nd place is at -3.

1. Bulls
2. 42-17
3. Mack
4. Adams
5. 450

Here is a link to a compressed version of the game, it's more than just the plays and it also shows replays and commentary. I did not create this and don't want to take credit for it, but I want to make it available to you all.

It would probably help us overall because we are a run first team and they are a pass first team, but we are already having issues with receivers droppings balls, and the rain won't help.

We gave up over 425 yards rushing. Allowed 3 Navy players to go over 100 yards each for the first time in 135 years of playing football. The week before, Tulane held Navy to 133 yards of total rushing. I guess Tulane's just a lot better than we are.
In the end the total amount of yards don't matter, it's the amount of points. Tulane shut down their run game but couldn't keep them out of the end zone. 29 points is very good, considering 7 of those came at the very end off a turnover.
-
Great! Let's hope they can hold onto this lead. Do you know how many rounds it is?
-
this except it shouldn't be offered until after next year is over, but that's just my opinion
This would hurt recruiting so much because the players wouldn't know who they are going to play for
-
Why wouldn't I? The success and failure of every team is dependent on the head coach. If you don't have the players to compete, its because he can't recruit. If you lack discipline, its because he hasn't instilled it. If your offense sucks, it because he can't coach one or doesn't know how to hire someone who can. The opposite is just as true. If CWT gets us to a bowl game, it's because he has brought in the players, offense, etc. to make us an average team. If he does that, he deserves the chance to make us into a good team and I'll happily give him the credit when he reaches that milestone.
I just said that because I'm very confident that we will make a bowl game, nothing against what you said.
-
I personally promise to give him all the credit next time he takes us to a bowl or beats a team with a winning record. You have my word.
Be ready to give him credit at the end of the season then.

Gave up 431 yds rushing yet had the lead going into the 4th qtr and it took 2 careless plays late to secure the win for Navy ...... The defensive coaching staff's job is to keep the other team from scoring and I'd say we did a good job, especially considering the yardage given up .... and Tulane lost, too, giving up more points than us.
Yep, bend don't break defense really pays off, in the end yards don't matter it's the score that matters.
-
It's mostly confidence, but mechanics does come into play.
-
What I saw was that they have great first down offense with terrible first down defense, and we're the opposite. It also looks like they turn the ball over ALOT which our defense does very well. Hopefully they can't stop our run game and Flowers continues to improve as a passer and also runs the ball more this game where needed.
-
Relax rookie, Lotsofbull does this for every game; it is his fun tradition and a part of the Bullspen culture.
Good to know, it just seems like there are plenty of people on this board who have been rooting against the Bulls recently, it's hard to tell.
-
ECU will destroy us!
Based on what? They lost to Uconn by 18 points.

Just re watched the game. Our defense hit Navy hard. We knocked a lot of their players silly. Every pass QF threw was on target and catchable. Pull in a few drops and don't fumble the kick return and we win. Disappointed we couldn't get any running game going though.
Where are you watching it? Did you record it?
-
No shame in losing to Navy. We did nothing to disgrace ourselves, and I'm still confident we'll see a bowl game. We should beat ECU, and UCF seems to be an automatic win this year. We'll be fine.
Agreed

That's not true at all, you're just too ignorant to see anything positive that the Bulls do under Willie Taggart, don't try to deny that. You say that everyone on this board makes excuses for Wilkie Taggart, but after the loss to Maryland and even Memphis almost every single thread on here was talking about how he should be fired right now, and who should be the next coach. So there is no Taggart bias on this board, unless if you view people supporting a team on a 3-win streak bias.

Is it your money? Why are you so concerned with budget?
That's what I look for in my athletics dept. "Yeah we suck and are completely irrelevant, but just look at that fiscal responsibility!"
I bet you were a big proponent of "giving Skip time to get HIS players in there" too.
But let's give Willie 4 more years. By then maybe he can find a soft enough schedule to go 7-5 once. That's the dream, right? That is ABSOLUTELY Willie's ceiling.
Keep on hating, when we win you will say it's on the players or we play a weak team, and when we lose Willie should be fired immediately. Sports aren't fun to watch when you have that mindset.

Well, i used to set up cones at the USF practice field so I KNOW FOOTBALL BETTER THAN ALL WHO GAZE UPON ME.
You know nothing more than anyone else on here. Yeah he's showing signs of improvement, I mean when all you do for 2+ seasons is take dump after dump on the field, anything resembling average football looks better. But it still is bad.
If you have been starving to death and someone hands you a can of spam, you'll eat it and maybe think it's great, but its not. I hope he can still get better coaching, he's 39. The point is he isn't very good to begin with.
He's in over his head. Maybe he'd be more comfortable at some sun belt.school, or getting back to sniffing Jim Harbaugh's pickle full time.
How does you setting up cones relate to knowledge of the game at all? Anybody can do that.
No talk of MBB?

Definately. A very talented team, but most of the guys are still young and learning.
