Bulls 247 reports Roddy Peters is visiting South Florida beginning today.
-
Agreed, now who's the next target?
-
GO BULLS! Excited about landing him excited to watch him play as soon as possible. It would be great if we heard he didn't have to sit for a year but I am excited none the less.
To the coaching staff,
Both congratulations on the big land, and thank you
-
Me either but I'm anxiously awaiting his decision. Losing out on Thomas was disheartening, I don't want to lose out on Canty. I think we could use another big man as well. I mean we landed a Center but it doesn't hurt to have a rotation at bigs
-
Well, he's not going to be here in 5 years anyway. Either he blows it up and moves on, or he violation the bed and we're looking all over again. Lets hope for the first scenario.
How about he blows it up and turns USF into a destination school, like Tark, Wooten, Coach K, etc, etc, etc
I like where your heads at!

This kid played behind Seth Allen who is also transferring correct? Seth Allen also doesnt have any suitors from what I understand, and I am worried slightly about Roddy Peters numbers when he did actually play. he avg like 15 miinutes a game and his numbers were pretty.....tame....I suppose is the word. That could have been due to an abundance of things of course, but I figured I would throw that out there. I mean, the kid was like the 10th rated PG when he committed to Maryland so there has to be some talent there.
It's a big mess at the University of Maryland, lot's of turmoil. Peters needed a change of scenery and it is expected that in the right positive environment, he will indeed show why he was so highly rated.
I certainly hope to see it if he decides this is where he wants to be. Honestly at the 1 his height is tantalizing. We already have some attention on some good shooters so that might free up some room to operate and grow. Its a fresh start for everyone, hopefully he will continue to grow with the guidance of our coaching staff.

I cant wait to see what Coach O can do for our program. I am relatively new with college ball, mostly following the NBA, and I figured what a better place to start than my alma. Coaching staff seems to have rounded off nicely, and Coach O has been relentless in the talent he is pursuing. I love every second of it.

I think that from the little that I have seen, maybe 8 minutes of highlights and lowlights in total mind you so this can be taken with a grain of salt, he is undersized, has good ball handling skills, good vision, he can do a little bit of everything (shoot from range and slashes), makes a lot of mistakes trying to do too much by himself. I wish I had more to watch and go through.

I've heard concern about him leaving but nothing solid. I hope it isn't true but having Canty and Collins both would give us a great backcourt and jump off the bench. Hope we can manage to get Canty and keep Collins
-
I was trying to watch tape on Thomas and this kids name was the one I heard being called most of the game. Running in transition, dropping threes, making a little room for himself, good target
-
Let's reel him in!
-
I am an optimistic kind of guy, and we can have some beautiful beach weather, but doom gloom and flooding run parallel with recruiting lol
-
Agreed. Reality based recruiting? Lol
-
Very excited! Landing Canty would be a big boost to a growing backcourt, time to show up big at the table!
-
I did see the quote of "recruiting me the hardest right now" but it seemed like more of a statement of fact and didn't offer insight to his interest. I am anxious to hear that's all lol, I apologize
-
I was on espn and a couple other sites today and I haven't seen anywhere listing us as potentials or that we extended an offer or anything akin. Any updates on the young man?
-
Great foresight and an awesome way of being proactive in the recruiting process. Video on this kid shows real talent and potential. Not incredibly polished but he has LOADS of time for that
-
I think if anyone could begin to land these close calls it is Antigua. He is ready to build a legacy at USF and I am excited to watch our program evolve!
+1
I agree, but it's based on nothing more than wishful thinking until it isn't
I agree with that, but I am ok with it. Wishful thinking, upside, potential; all synonyms in this case. I think the possibility of creating the history and legacy of USF basketball as well as playing for guys like Coach O and Rod Strickland could be strong selling points. I can hardly wait to hear the updates!
