Farewell Deion thread.
We will all miss coming here.
You had such promise.

Lots of winning coaches in lower FBS and upper FCS playing this weekend. Doesn't even have to be a retread or a has been to knock it out of the park.

Hey Brad, which stadium details do you think would be controversial. Any?
No urinals. We all have to sit when we pee.

We will get a coach no matter what and we won't know their ability to win until next fall. Deion getting hired makes the next 8 months more interesting but he is still not guaranteed to win. Just enjoy until Sunday I suppose.

Yeah, but do you really get passed over for FAU by Tom Herman this late in the new coach hires unless you're already like, "We're good over here, Tom, why don't you go and see if FAU wants to give you a job"?
Theoretically, that makes sense. But if something hasn't been signed there are no guarantees. We've heard a mixture of tons of scenarios from 'sources' so who knows?

Tons of FCS playoff games this weekend too...

Could anyone succinctly recap the last 48 hours? It seems like nothing has happened while simultaneously everything has happened

That USF Athletics tweet was the worst thing they could do at this time. It's been 4 hours since then

My source who texts with Deion regularly just told me that USF and Deion got close in discussions, but he wanted full control of the program and USF wasn't prepared to give him that. Also, the money was a little bit less than we wanted, but the control over the program is what he is really seeking.
I just can't imagine what control he wouldn't have. We are bottom of the barrel, what exactly would the administration be against him controlling?

A fake deadline announcement hyped up on TBP??
How crazy.
To be fair, Del Prato also said change was coming Monday so all signs pointed to this being correct.

Are we sure this is happening? We got 5 minutes and I don't see anything.

No one knows but the offense instantly improved with CJS was gone.
We did worse from Temple (471 total yards) to SMU (381 total yards). We also had 438 total yards against the Tinmen.

I feel like bringing a former Bull into coach SHOULD fire the fan base up. Shoot I'd love it. We just need someone to Shepard us into the next chapter and make a bowl game, and I feel these guys could do it. No one would appreciate what a stadium and dominating the conference would mean to this program like MB or LS. And they're no less likely to do that than our previous home run hires.
I was a huge fan of MB as a player so I'd happily have him back.

Deion Sanders should be the choice: It will have an immediate impact on the Tampa Sports scene. Deion would have a connection with the NFL (Bucs) and his recruiting would be second to none. College football starts and ends with recruiting.
Recruiting, Coaching, ticket Sales. Everything is in place to take USF to the next level.
Look, I can't speak for MK and his questionable decisions in the past, but I have to imagine that, should we not get Deion, it would not be because of USF not offering him the position.
