GILBERT MUST GO!,,STRONG ALSO IF HE WONT GET RID OF GILBERT.
THIS TEAM IS POORLY COACHED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING GAME PLAN.
7 & 5
Jean Marie needs to be held accountable. Improvement is the sign of good coaching this defence is getting worse

It totally amazes me that they can’t stop the quarterback draw even when they know it’s coming it’s absolutely poor coaching totally frustrated with this team today.

What’s amazing is that USF coaches knew that If you can controll the Uconn quarterback you shut down their entire offense. I get that he’s a great athlete and he’s going to make some plays but Uconn had over 300 yards rushing. that’s just terrible coaching and playing ! the offense cannot sustain drives Making the defense play extra minutes. Uconn had 10 more min. Of possession.
Excited that they’re ranked and believe they should be however I can See them going 2 -3in the last five games. They have the talent to fix it not sure they can.

The offensive coordinator for USF has to be the worst play caller in college football.
He absolutely does nothing to help his quarterback. His first down playcalling is mine boggling bad . Unless something changes I can see them losing at least two possibly three games

Great game nice seeing you in the stands and I’m sure you and son were extra happy last night after the yanks won.
As for me I only enjoyed the first half of the day go Red Sox

My wife and I have a parking pass in lot 11 how do you live close to UMass. We would be happy to get some adult beverages and some food and snacks and host a tailgate before the game. We just need to get an idea of who would be interested. And an idea of how many people would come and we can get it set up .

I believe This stadium does not have seat assignments. You sit where you want.

I think he sticks with BB at quarterback. However I thought because ECU was dominating USF’s offensive line that in the second half he would’ve put CO in who is more mobile and maybe take some pressure off by making ECU respect the run from the quarterback position. It might’ve opened things up.

I’d also be happy to participate

I also live in the area and will be going to the game. I was curious does USF have a tailgate or is there someplace that fans are meeting before the game.

If grandma had balls she would be grandpa. If we dominated the line it would be different. If is a powerful word.
My point was USF will play teams with better skill players. The biggest concern was they were dominated on the offense of line.
-
They were physically dominated at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Very fortunate to get the win. If ECU had better skill players the outcome would have been different. Also offense needs to be adjusted to handle the pressure better and BB has to get the ball out of his hands quicker.

I’ve been watching USF football since it’s inception. Even though the BB did not have his Best game. I can’t remember a USF quarterback making the throws he makes, IMO he’s only going to get better.
I thought he missed opportunities in the red zone , Last week he kept the ball and ran for several TD’s this week I believe he was a little cautious and handed the ball off when he could’ve kept it and ran, maybe he was concerned as he fumbled twice earlier.

They overcame 124 yards in penalties and every possible Mistake & still won on the road. Illinois was fired Up & without question USF was flat being on the road for the first time this year.
Although I hope this is the worst game they play this year, credit has to be given to the quarterback for keeping his poise and leading his team back. Also the defense settled in, Illinois had 200 yards rushing however 80 that was on the first TD drive.
Still way too many missed tackles and bad angles by linebackers.
That being said I agree 3-0 better than 2-1

Maybe for excitement wise but probably and hopefully this will be the worst game they play they were totally blessed to come away with a victory. However that’s what good teams do is they battled through adversity which they did and won. I thought the quarterback stay poised after a rocky start and did a great job in the second half. The defense also stepped up after the first couple of Illinois possessions.
-
I thought the defense looked better Saturday however.
A couple of thoughts. #One USF had two kick off returns for touchdowns taking away two offensive possessions and based on how they were moving the ball about 5 to 7 minutes in time of possession time which would have reduced GT total yardage.
#2. Number 54 over ran several pitch plays (A problem he had in the first game ).Both resulting in touchdowns and missed a crucial tackle. Even though he was in the right place at the right time for the turnovers he remains my biggest concern for their defense. He definitely has to learn to use his hands better to shield off blockers .

He is a LB
I know. LB are a big part of run defence and 54 who I believe played in the middle seemed lost
-
D line looked out of place at tImes #54 especially looked bad. Also really worried as they didn’t play physical. They keep saying that they have depth there hopefully getting fresh bodies in helps.
if they don’t have significant improvement GT runs for 500yds. Ofence might not see the ball enough to make it a shootout.
-
GT WILL RUN FOR 600 yards next week

Also kick off return unit looks terrible again
-
BB looks great
A little afraid about the physicality of their defense

After watching the spring game I felt that CO Was head and shoulders better than Kean. So if it’s even between Barnett and CO I go with CO. I don’t believe Kean has the ability to have the it factor. IMO Kean looks more like a serviceable back up.
-
What does the offensive numbers look like when he is pitching. Other than one outing I can think of when he got shelled he has had poor offensive support. When you get beat 1-0 that does not fall on the pitchers shoulders
-
My observation
I think CO will win the job he looks a lot more fluid and once he settled down he made some incredible throws also he is significantly better runner than BK.They’re going to need that because the offensive line looked terrible
I was also impressed by the running backs, looks like they’re going to be solid and they’re receiving corps is impressive.
The defense looks like it will be better than last year.
If you aren’t under the Fire Strong movement yet.....

Imagine an offense with ZERO check downs. ZERO draws or screens. No passes over the middle or play action.
AGAIN GILBERT MUST GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
