  1. Opinions of IMG coaches vs coaches from major programs who are paid way more to make decisions about a player. You think all of these coaches were fooled? You don't think they put in their time to evaluate him? And btw, these programs regularly send offensive lineman to the nfl.

  2. Jup, every scouting site I checked lists these schools as his offers. These offers are from major programs who routinely get good O-line recruits. I will trust these coaches evaluation over any writer's star/rank opinions from these scouting sites. He is down to cuse and the bulls since he knows he has a very good chance of starting right away.

  3. How do you guys know ward isn't athletic or strong enough? Have you looked at his offer list? Michigan, Ohio state, Florida, Oklahoma, Ucla etc. That too me is a good indicator than the star rating system of how potentially good a player could be in the next level. Not saying he will be good, but that many top schools are trying to get this guy and the main reason is that they think he can play right away.

  4. Like Bruno as well, but he might be playing on the d-line or as a guard. I rarely seen offensive lineman come in as true freshman and be good in their first year unless they were already big and strong coming in from hs. Knox is talented but around 260-280 lbs. Btw most O-line players are flabby and the good ones are tall too.

  5. Knox and Hudson will be freshman and they are not physically ready for 2014 season. I don't think either of them are even at 300 lbs yet. Getting ward is critical imo for this offense to succeed this year. He can challenge for the starting tackle spot from day one. It's going to be a long season for the offense if the bulls are starting the same tackles this coming season.

  6. Good article on Carnes as well....what a waste of talent when he could have started here and instead committed to huskers. I never understood why especially the top qbs commit to the same schools when they know that they have to compete with another qb for the one starting position. I remember in one year when Tennessee got two 5 star qbs in the same class and later one of them ended up transferring after two years. Why don't these guys consider going to the lower level schools?
