Why should any of the 3 mil people in the Tampa Bay area attend?
Not many do, so you tell us why they should.

Who would you want as your game-day coach?
Who would you want as your recruiter & player development?
Who would you want as your program builder?

You want to harp on a group, harp on the students that can't/won't drive the 20 minutes to support the team for free. If we filled the student section we'd be pushing 40K per game. Not bad for what is essentially a mid-major program at the current time.
Why harp on students...just because you enjoy attending football games and it’s a high priority in your life doesn’t mean others do, or should. BTW, USF student pay heavily for those seats you claim are free. Despite having to pay, they still chose not to attend. Do you regularly attend USF School of Theater and Dance shows?

It's going to be an Outback Steakhouse.
Not the one in Sarasota, which is the location Educabull’s post was in reference to, and I was responding to.

They're closing the one at University Parkway in Sarasota as well. Their quality of food and service has been in decline for years. Hard to find good help...
If finding good help is the reason for closing Selmon’s, than why are they going to reopen it as a Glory Days Grill?

I suggested that they auction off the memorabilia in the restaurant to benefit the IPF. I'm sure LRS would approve.
Your suggestion was sent to the round file. Proceeds will be going to The Lee Roy Selmon Mentoring Institute.

A great story for JK to report on. It appears that YCF’s actual attendance is worse than USF’s

So tired of the American, it's time to make USF BCS again!
Yep, all those AAC Football Championship Trophies are clogging up the lobby in The Lee Roy Selmon Building.

Voted but, Mia from Miss St is up by 7k votes.
Put down the crack pipe...she’s ahead by around 247 votes. Total votes counted is only 3500+.

Funny that this was announced today. I didn't even know, until yesterday, that Coach O was fired or left the program. Hopefully the new guy works out. Have met Dominic a few times and a good guy. Best of luck to him in his new role.
Jeff resigned back in early April.

Kestner originally accepted an offer from UNC....
...I hope Addidas had nothing to do with her jumping ship to sign with da Bulls.

So, are you saying he wasn’t brought here to get an IPF and OCS built...and play with the big boys?
Where did USF get Harlan from?

That's why he was brought here. If we want to play with the big boys, then we have to act like the big boys.
When did UCLA build it’s OCS and IPF

And you read exactly what is on their website that I posted. Semantics.
Isn’t it possible you could be interpreting it incorrectly? The discounted tickets mentioned doesn’t state OSU sports specifically. Aren’t there other (non-OSU) sports events in Columbus and through out Ohio.
https://activities.osu.edu/about/student_activity_fee
Does’t USF have a Student Activity Fee, in addition to the Athletic Fee?

For some reason I had OSU in my head when I was looking at the USA today list of college revenue. I think there are about 10 total D1 schools that don't claim any student fees.
According to that listing, Ohio State claims $0.

Do USF students pay to go to athletic events at all? I never did, just walked in with ID.
They pay whether they go, or not.

According to the Google and OSU's website, all students at OSU pay a $37.50 per semester Student Activity Fee. Part of which goes towards lowering the cost of tickets to sporting events for all students. So you pay a fee in order to buy a cheaper ticket. Saying students don't make a mandatory contribution to the athletics department is quibbling in semantics.
Student Activity Fee:
All students at the Columbus campus of The Ohio State University are assessed a Student Activity Fee each term to support programs that benefit all students. The fee supports free on-campus entertainment, cultural and arts events, student organizations and clubs, and discounted tickets to sports, arts and cultural events in the Columbus community and throughout Ohio. Approved by the Board of Trustees to support free and discounted programs and opportunities on and around campus for all students. The fee is $37.50 per term.
Wrong school, but minuscule compared to what a USF student has to pay.

I agree, relative to the stadium, it is a problem and perhaps there is no AD around who could whip-up the masses...especially due to the G5 classification. But getting an on campus practice facility should not be this big of an issue...especially if it is downgraded to just the field with a cover.
With your donation of $200 it wil have to fit under a bargain level tailgate .

The answer to your question is, never. Colleges have been milking students to pay for athletics since at least 1905 when Walter Camp was charging students an $8 fee. That's about $215 each in today's dollars, if you're scoring at home.

I wasn’t complaining about attendance either little guy. Why harp (as you suggested) about anyone’s choice of not attending USF football games period?
