Women's hoops in action tonight at 7pm at the Dome

CJF was not very happy with the way the ladies played tonight and the score at the end really isn't indicative of how close this game was. Despite only having 3 dressed players on the bench, Stetson played with greater intensity. I have a feeling that the players took the Hatters for granted going into this one.

Still, it was nice to see them pull away at the very end.

Stetson had won @UCF by 18 points, so I don't know why we would have taken them for granted. I think this game will be viewed as a quality win at the end of the season.

The part of him being unhappy was from his post-game interview.   From the little bit I was able to hear, he felt they didn't adjust well.  Stetson's center (#4?) really played well inside and #22 was hitting from the outside.

 

Offensively, we were very sloppy with transitions after turnovers and steals, with a lot of errant passes.  Fortunately, we made up for it with 3-pointers, which I believe we hit at a higher percentage than 2-pt FGs.

They were not getting out on 22, well. Courtney Williams had a terrible first half, on both ends of the floor. She got it going in the second half, though.
