Great ariticle by Skip...He pretty muched summed up my feelings on the matter.

This line by Barry really gets me...

"get my son in this, not just me, because I want to show the pain you've caused my family."

I wish I could have such "pain".  I have a father fighting cancer right now about to begin Chemo, and a grandmother who lost the fight to it a year ago.  As I mentioned in another thread awhile back my sister who is 25 years old suffered a mild stroke, very similar to Bruschi's.  And she is still suffering some ill effects several weeks after the fact.  Myself, like many in this country, work at a job that doesnt really pay enough and I pretty much live month to month trying to pay the bills and make ends meat, barely.  

I am not trying to get any sympathy from anyone, I am just trying to point out what the life is like of one of the millions of baseball fans in this country that Barry Bonds is trying to appeal to and hoping to gain sympathy from.  Life is hard if you are not one of the privelaged like Barry.  He makes millions of dollars, he has millions in assets, and he does it by playing a GAME, I wish I were so lucky to have been able to make a career in baseball.  His only problems stem from the fallout of his steroid use, which he brought upon himself, yet now he is trying to blame the hardships that came to him due to the fallout on the media for reporting what he did.   "get my son in this, not just me, because I want to show the pain you've caused my family."  The pain you've caused my family?!?!  The media didnt force you to cheat, or to cheat on your wife, or to be such an a**hole all of your career causing so many to dislike you, that is all on you.  

And if he really thinks i'm going to feel sorry for him, He's dead wrong.  Like most people in this country I have real problems to worry about.  But at least he has smazza on his side LOL
