I am sure that Coach Heath would welcome a big inside presence in Big East play.  ;)

He actually doesn't look too fat at 390.  I'm sure he could lose a few, but at 6'11" he looks OK.

Although not as big, that reminds me of baseball walk-on Andrew Barbosa:

Andrew Barbosa, in fact, has never played organized basketball, though head baseball coach Lelo Prado jokes that he kept Stan Heath at a safe distance when the Bulls basketball coach threw out the first pitch at a game last week.

Andrew Barbosa, a 6-foot-8 left-hander, started classes at USF in August, without a word with the Bulls coaches. But he joined the team and has been dominant, especially in his past three starts.

Hey Mama, do you know what's up with Barbosa? Is he coming back for another year?

After being drafted 3 times by the Giants, he still appears on their roster as "unsigned"...

Last article I read said he was coming back.

Being that tall will be a big time disadvantage.  He will have a tough time getting low to get leverage and cut blocks will be the bane of his existence.

Hope so. He sounds like a great player.

I wonder if the Giants will draft him for a 4th time?

Do you know if anyone has ever been drafted 3 times without accepting (by the same team no less!) and gone on to be a Major League success the fourth time? Seems unreal.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
