Rutgers' Tim Wright done for the year

Tough news out of Rutgers camp this afternoon, where promising receiver Tim Wright was ruled out for the season with a right knee injury. He hurt the knee during Tuesday's practice and will need surgery.

Wright, a 6-foot-4 sophomore, didn't do much last year but was perhaps the breakout player of the spring for the Scarlet Knights. He looked like a strong bet to start at receiver and give the team another solid weapon at wideout to go along with Mohamed Sanu.

Now Tom Savage has one less target. Mark Harrison really needs to step up his game, as does Quron Pratt. Perhaps a youngster like Brandon Coleman or Jeremy Deering gets more of a look now. But there's no question this is a big loss for the Scarlet Knights.

this will be the year we finally beat Rutgers.  not because  of depth issues, but because our coach will finally have the ability to adjust during the game.
