Will he get 800, 900, or even 1000 yds. Will he be about as effective as last year, a servicable back, rotating out with other backs.Or will he get lost in the shuffle, falling behind other backs like Mike Hayes. What are you expecting and/or hoping to get out of Mo this year?
Guest Scherdin Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I guess it depends on how much the offense system is changing...if BJ is doing more hand offs and maybe utilizing this play called a screen... getting Mo 10-15 touches a game he could be 500-750 yd, 5-8 TD guy (runs and catches). Also depends on the O-line and if we are leading games or playing catch up. But I think right now it's his position to lose and I think he can do some good things...we'll find out

Holtz will develop young talent over a one year player, especially in a rebuilding year like this. Plancher, Battles, and Hayes will contribute as servicable backs...

It will be the one who learns the scheme the quickest and understands his job. Looking forward to having a real running game for a change.

Or does he have the ability to have a break out year as the unquestioned leader of the RB's and be a 700-1000 yd back. I like this guys toughness.

I think his talent is more geared towards helping run the offense, be in the right place, etc. I could see him as a Ben Williams type of back, but with more talent. 500-750 yds and 5 TDs is reasonable.I would assume a younger, faster RB will get more yds. 1500-2000 yds rushing spread among all the RBs/FBs this year is not impossible.

I think Murray or Hayes, or even Battles taking over right before the BE schedule starts. I do think Mo will be gaining more recieving yards this season.

Let me see him get on campus, workout with the team, and then do som hitting before I annoint him ahead of Murray, Plancher, and Battle.
