No. 45: South Florida — South Florida has made a big national splash in recent seasons, including the 6–0 start to the 2007 season and rise to No. 2 in the BCS rankings. Still, the Bulls have never won a Big East title or appeared in a BCS bowl. That’s the goal for first year coach Skip Holtz, but it won’t be easy with a rugged schedule (road games at Florida and Miami, plus league trips to West Virginia and Cincinnati). Look for Holtz to tap into South Florida’s resources — the Tampa Bay area’s fertile recruiting ground — to ensure a bright future. For now, just holding ground with a winning record and bowl berth is the realistic goal.

Fair enough.  Most of the media are now in the "fool me once, shame on me" mentality on USF...and you can't really blame them.  If Holtz can guide us past the mid-season suck, we'll gain back more support.  Oh, and winning a few more wouldn't hurt either.  ;D
