Football notes: WR Knowles arrives in town

It's now just 16 days until USF's football players report for preseason camp, and another new arrival is in town, as receiver T.J. Knowles, the 6-foot-8 receiver from Las Vegas who was a late addition to the Bulls' recruiting class in May.

Knowles, who has completed his final classes at Saddleback College in California, is getting a standard physical Monday and will be able to practice with the team when practice begins on Aug. 6. He'll have three years of eligibility with the Bulls, and comes in at a position of need, with key receivers A.J. Love and Sterling Griffin recovering from injuries in the off-season. Knowles had 49 catches for 924 yards and seven touchdowns at Saddleback last season. ... Read more

Saw the Scott update. He's not saying anything besides what he's putting up on Facebook. Montague said he expects to know on his USF admission by first week of August, which coincides with start of camp.

heard bowens got a <1000 on GRE. hopefully that grad program has room for that kind application, and possibly attrition after a year so he can get on the field

What's a good GRE school? Average? I've been out of school for quite some time now... Wouldn't know a GRE if it smacked me in the face.

All depends on the program and area of study.  1200 is probably decent, I am not sure what is average.  Some programs require a GRE but don't actually set a minimum score.  Not sure where the original poster got that information, but it always makes me feel uncomfortable when we are posting such personal information about a recruit.  I guess it is the nature of being a big time athlete.  Just seems a bit extreme to be discussing test scores of specific athletes and posturing guesses as to their admission status.
