The Big East in 2010

i think the big east will be strong this year. UConn, WVU, and Pitt are going to get the opportunity to earn some great OOC wins.

I would even go as far as to say we have a darkhorse national title contender in Pitt, and possibly WVU.

In that scenario, WVU would have had to win @LSU

Pitt would have to win @Utah, @ND, and vs Miami.

I love me some USF Football. I bleed green and gold. but i've grown to love big east football from top to bottom since i became a bull and im rooting for Uconn @ mich, pitt's OOC games and WVU @ LSU

Holtz has his hands full this year. GO BULLS and here's to a bright future

EDIT: lets not forget I think ville honestly has a chance against UK, and cincy vs OU though thats more of a stretch IMO

WVU imo will struggle, they are breaking in Geno Smith. Pitt is the best team in conference atm just ahead of cinci. I say USF finishes 3rd.

I think that 'ville will improve sooner than later. Charlie Strong knows how to put a D together.

I agree, I really like the Big East as it is right now and I'm glad it wasn't destroyed (yet) by expansion. I think the league offers a good variety of styles on offense and defense, and I think the conference has had a handful of good coaches. Good drama too.

I'm married to a WVU grad (who got her masters at USF) and I've been a Big East fan since back when Major Harris was tearing it up at WVU in the late 80s.  Obviously I became a Mountaineer fan since we had no team, but I was fired up the day it was hinted that USF might join the Big East.  I would love nothing more than to see the Big East continue to get stronger in football.

They will improve, but it won't be this year. The have less depth than we do.

big east has done well in bowls over past couple years, but cincy did not help when they got destroyed by the Gators

I'm just hoping that Holtz will play smash-mouth football and we can push around some of those teams who have pushed us around in the past.  >

I think Pitt will get the title this year. Cincy will probably finish 2nd with their Depth at WR and Collaros.

Louisville will improve...in a year...their defense will be improved this year thou.

I see USF finishing 4th or 5th. Rutgers may actually do very well with Savage throwing to Sanu with a year of experience behind them.
