2011 Schedule

I know it's a year away, but anyone else concerned we still have to schedule 2 more teams for 2011?  Hopefully the AA team will be FAMU again, but who else is available?  UCF here we come??

we should try to play UCF but only in Tampa if they're somehow willing. also try to play a Division I team from different state. Maybe a UH, Purdue, LA Tech even? I dunno just a decent/below decent FBS school

I am a little concerned about this. I posted this months ago and asked GA if he had heard anything cooking and he had not.

I also would assume the FAMU game is a done deal so we have 6 homes games for 2011...so do you sign another Charleston Southern for a 7th home game yet hamstring your coach into having to win 7 games to be bowl eligible or do you sign a 1 and 1 with a home game in a future year? Or there is the thought of a neutral site game.

If he wants to sign a 1 and 1 he needs to get moving because most teams are set. UCF needs 1 home game in 2011....would we really sign a 1 & 1 with UCF where we go there first?!? I doubt it. If you assume we sign a home I-aa game in 2012 then we have six games there that season also with FSU.

I heard someone say a while back they had heard Woolard was working on a Big TV game. That doesn't give you much to go on but I know they have been working on a neutral site game in the past. What about a single game in Jacksonville against someone like Alabama where USF is the home team?

Therein lies the problem. UCF wouldn't accept a 1 game deal to play here.

I'd take ucf over an 1aa school. Despite the dumb smack talk, its at least a division 1 school

There's no reason to think USF will schedule a second I-AA opponent. I would be surprised if the other opening (a non-BCS I-A opponent, likely on the road) isn't announced before the season. USF went MAC last time they had an opening like this with Ball State in 2011-12. I'm curious to see whether Holtz's presence makes them more likely to go with a C-USA opponent that Holtz might have a better feel for.

I am fine with an away UCF game, it allows one more game I would be able to attend
