that are going a lil under the radar..........my predictions-

offense----Victor Marc......with all the issues at wr, this true athlete has a chance to shine his natural abilities, good size and decent speed......could see him becoming the go to receiver with Bogan being the big play guy

defense----Jacquez Jenkins.....stud outta Lakewood will push for playing time at safety despite his inexperience, could be a very special player by the time he is done here......DeDe Lattimore a close second

offense i would have said sterling griffin.... now i really have no clue who to label as a breakout guy, probably a guy like mike hayes

defense... i say t-rex makes an impact as a true freshman... i also expect sam barrington to play a big role on D

Offense- Demetris Murray

Deffense- Ryan Giddins, don't know if you can consider him a breakout player since he was a 4-star recruit coming in

Mike Lanaris, he's been quiet but he has all the right tools to be a great linebacker.

DaUSFBulls- If I had to pick one on offense and one on defense I couldn't agree more with you.

Although it is funny how many other players people have mentioned that ALL have a good shot at doing some damage. I would say Virgin comes in a close second to Victor Marc, who I think has the size and speed but also you can tell he was the best athlete on a loaded team in Hallandale and I think before that he was the top player for another team as a junior? Although if Virgin can get the change down to TE/H-back in Holtz's system he could really do some damage. The kid has all the freakish tools to dominate a position that doesn't see many with his skill set as well as size.

Jenkins is and has been my pick to be an amazing safety and if he could get corner down at his size would be a first rounder. After watching his High school film the kid just stands out, very reminiscent to Anquan Bolden and how he was the team in high school. Just hope he can fully recover as any ACL injury can change a player even if it's their first. That is a huge mental barrier to get over as a 17-19 yr old kid that is used to playing at an elite level their whole lives.

As for three obvious picks on D, I would go with Barrington first(no explanation needed), Kayvon Webster with a yr under his belt and I think J. Williams is gonna be a freak out there. I could see the potential but he was under weight and trying to get used to the speed of the game. Sad thing is he's one of the fastest people out there, look for big things from him.

Oh and look for big things from Landi especially now as well as this years squad, people are sadly underestimating the talent we have. I don't remember when or who said it but I do remember one of the ex-coaches making a comment about how USF has never had this great of talent as a whole and depth wise. We might be young but we have the ingredient we have been missing real coaching.(no disrespect to previous coaching but these guys are teachers of the game!) And I can see McGhegan(sp?) becoming a top notch coach in college.

Go Bulls!

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.
