Is This REALLY Our "Beat Florida" T-Shirt?

Got this link from Greg's blog, didn't know if this was true or not.  If so, it makes us look pretty stupid.  I wanna call B.S. on this, but I also know not to put anything past anyone these days.

Why can't we just have a plain shirt that says "BEAT FLORIDA"?  Don't need to make it a graphic tee...

Because most Gaytor fans cannot read.  They need the simple cartoon to understand what we are trying to say.

Sadly, yes that is the shirt. There was a contest in April. They are going to enhance it so it the actual shirt isnt done in colored pencil. But the USF Bookstore has sold a shirt since at least summer of 2007 for the USF-UF game. It says, "September 11, 2010-History Will Be Made This Day." A little awkward on the wording.

there was a contest a while back, and i think that was the winning entry.

if i recall correctly, they did say they were going to have a pro redo the artwork though...

This design isn't bad. It's not like this is the final version. It is going to get redesigned by an artist, this was just the low quality first version for the contest.

Think the moral of the story is, have your art department make the professional renderings, THEN let everyone vote.

Although I agree with EDSBS. I would totally find a way to acquire one of those shirts if they went with the original design.

T-shirts are so lame for a single game. Regardless if it is Florida, who really wears these things? What do you do with them after the game...they are dated as soon as the game is over.
