My youngest son who is 13 is now  6ft 3.5  260  and which means he is 80 lbs over the limit to play in the youth leagues for any kids who is 15 and under.  Where can I get him proper coaching on technique for offensive tackles or defensive ends.

USF just held a camp for youngsters. That would have been a good place to take him.

You might try contacting Carl Franks or Rich Rachel. Either one can steer you in the right direction.

You might also touch base with the local high school football coaches - especially at the high school where you son will go.  They might know some local resources for you.

Along that same line, he can post on the BCP message board the same question. That site is run by local HS football coaches and he'll get many good responses.

This post reminded me of Tyler Bergantino up in Spring Hill, Fl.  The attached photo is from the 8th grade.  Tyler is now a rising junior at Nature Coast High School in Hernando county and is now about 6' 10" and growing.  I'm pretty sure USF already offered him a basketball scholarship as a sophomore.

Yeah Tyler has one from USF.

Boy is a beast too. He put up 19 against Oak Ridge's "King Cady" in the playoffs who signed with Georgia.

Have you checked for an American Youth Football team in your area. This league allows the big kids to play. Orlando has a number of teams and I think there are teams in Tampa and Jacksonville.

Good. Lock down his academics early on. You don't want all that size to go to waste. Classroom first.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
