I thougth we could have a thread here for folks to name places that they enjoyed or places to avoid when travelling to road games.  I'll start of with a few in the Morgantown area for those USF fans coming up in October, and others coming to Morgantown for games this year.

Oliverio's Ristorante  has two locations.  One at 52 Clay St, Morgantown in the warf district downtown and one at 507 E Main St, Bridgeport.  Full range of Italian food.

Muriale's at 1742 Fairmont Ave in Fairmont.  Nice atmosphere, good food and very fast carry out orders.

Black Bear Burritos at 132 Pleasant St in Morgantown.  Full bar , plus burritos, wraps and salads.

I'll leave it at those for now.  If anyone wants to know about a specific type of cuisine or wants to find places close to the stadium, hotels or the airport, let me know and I'll do my best to help out.

Good idea. I don't have anything to contribute, but I think such a list would be helpful. :)

1. - Dinosaur BBQ - Syracuse. Best restaurant ribs I've had. Anywhere.

2. - Dreamland BBQ - Birmingham

In Tampa:

Higher end - Bern's Steakhouse, the Columbia (Spanish food)

Mid-range - (I haven't lived in Tampa for a while, so I don't know what's around anymore)

Casual - Wright's Gourmet Deli

"Other" entertainment - Mons Venus

Unless they've added stores, Big John's and Brocato's aren't really near the stadium.  Love both of them, though.  I grew up on Big John's and went to high school with Mike Brocato.

You're absolutely correct, but both are worth a little drive. Especially Brocato's deviled crabs.

While these are also not near the stadium, they are near the campus:

(1). The Brass Tap  - (Wiregrass off of 75 & Highway 54)They serve nothing but beer so bring your own food.

(2). Dunderbaks - (Bruce B Downs Blvd. - behind USF) This is a German Beirgarten and the food is awesome! I recommend the liter beers!!

Now this is a subject I can get into.  Eating is a big part of my road trip experience.  I'll keep it to football trips here.  Some of my favorites have been:

Pittsburgh:  Many great restaurants but Primanti Brothers is my sentimental favorite.

Louisville:  Again, lots of good offerings and had good fare at Mark's Feed store, O'Shea's, Morton's and Z's Oyster Bar.

Connecticut:  Didn't get a lot of chance to sample.  My favorite of the limited bunch was the commissary at ESPN hq in Bristol.

West Virginia:  Can't remember the name.  I think Richwood.

Rutgers:  Hey, you've got New York.  My favorites are Carmines, Tony DiNapoli and pretty much all of Little Italy.

Haven't gotten to Cinci or Syracuse yet.

In Tampa, for near the game, I like Lee Roy Selmon's, Roy's and Ocean Prime (they are near the aiport and on my way, too).
