For all of you that thought I was crazy when I said Maryland was being pursued by the big 10.  Here is more proof.  ACC is getting raided. Karma is a bit**.  This is a chance for the BE to manuever itself to be a strength.

I never said this wouldn't hurt the BE.  If the SEC then raids the ACC to keep up with the jeffersons, the big east by adding mizzou, kansas, kansas state, iowa state could be in a better position of strength.

Seriously?  We won't drop further than C-USA where we used to be... But I don't expect that to happen.

The ACC won't lose only one team.  They will lost more teams - and I expect the ACC to call USF.

if fsu and miami go to the SEC I doubt the acc would take cinci over usf a florida team.  Ray jay will go a long way when it comes to acc expansion in that scenario.  Plus this all depends on what the BE does with the big 12 left overs.

I am definitely nervous, but not as worried as everyone else.  It is every man for themselves, but you don't think the left over BE schools will kinda look out for one another.  If there were one BE team left over I think the AD's have built a good enough report to pressure the ACC in to taking that last school IMO.  We will soon find out.

He also thinks the ACC will stop at 12 teams while the others go to 16... AND that the ACC won't have a Florida presents... Those two things just aren't going to happen. 

If the ACC gets raided and has to replace teams, then they will go to 16 as well... and they will want a Florida presence.

Why are you convinced that everyone will go to 16 teams? I don't see the per team money being enough to do it. Pac 10 adding Texas, etc. might make sense money wise going to 16, maybe the Big 10 can get enough. I don't see Rutgers adding enough though, NYC doesn't tune them in. It's not the tvs in the market, it's the tvs they can deliver. I think every team in the BE, except maybe Cincy and that's only a maybe, will get picked before USF. Better hope 16 is it because we'll get left behind otherwise. CUSA depends on who is there and whether we burnt too many bridges leaving in my opinion. I hope no BE teams get poached.
