I think that ECU is trying to force the Big East to do something... personally I think he hit the nail on the head.

The Big East if it is to survive this shake up will need to kick out the basketball schools and try to raid some ACC teams and raid CUSA... and they need to do it NOW... the BEast will get raided by the Big11 very soon so time is of the essence.

Once the Big11 takes Rutgers and either Cuse or UConn then the Big East is a floater regardless of what it does.

We here on the Pen have outlined what the BEast needs to do (See Below), the only question is who does the BEast get and will they get off their butts and do it. I highlighted the teams that I think they should add which is neither here nor there, what is important is that they do it.

Vomit squared.  I don't think the Big East should do anything now except talk to schools behind closed doors.

The same is to be said for USF.  We need to sort out options, maybe give some new ideas to people who weren't thinking about us, and make some positive personal impressions on the major decision makers. 

There is a time for action, but usually if something was successful it was based on some well thought out  preparation.

I agree. The 8 BE football members should break away from the basketball only members and merge with the ACC. Some ACC/BE members will be picked up by the SEC and the BIg Ten; eventually bringing the teams in the new ACC/BE conference to around 16.
