The Big10 is looking at adding the following teams to reach 16:

(1). ND

(2). Mizzou

(3). Rutgers

(4). Syracuse

(5). Pitt

(6). UConn

If they add anyone else then I guess its a sign that ND said "hell no" again.

That article is from April 19th and doesn't even mention NEBRASKA as a candidate.

My guess is that ND said no again and they added Nebraska as an after thought... regardless Rutgers and at least 2 other Big East teams are gone.

Based on the above CBS Sports Breakdown I'm going to think that it will be Rutgers, Syracuse, and UConn which will give the Big16 the entire New York metro and State tv markets.

I think Pitt gets left out in the dust, but this is just my hunch... its impossible to say at this point.

Yeah plus the big 10 said last week that if a school is not academically comparable to the big 10 standards it would not take them... uconn

Yeah - a report that contradicts other reports and has never been reported by anyone else ... this has to be purposeful misinformation.

Yeah i saw this one.  Like texas would have to petition to be in the big 10.  I am sure if texas said they wanted in big 10 would announce it tomorrow.

Technically, schools apply for Big Ten membership ... usually, however, they are "invited to apply" - as Nebraska was.

The thing ND has to look at, if all this change happens and I mean the ACC/SEC expansion which will decimate the Big East. Do they want to be left with the 7 other non-football schools for all of their olympic sports?

I mean Georgetown, Villanova, St Johns, Providence, Depaul, Marquette, & Seton Hall ain't a bad basketball conference but you are now similar to an Atlantic 10 conference. Is that where ND wants to be for the sake of playing who they want when they want in football?
