With all of this conference realignment stuff going on, I was thinking...

If I were to start a conference today, this would be it:

Really Southeastern Conference

Gulf Division

USF

FSU

Alabama

Auburn

Ole Miss

Mississippi State

Atlantic Division

Miami

Florida

Georgia

Georgia Tech

South Carolina

Clemson

or

Division A

USF

Florida

Auburn

Mississippi State

Georgia

Clemson

Division B

FSU

Miami

Alabama

Ole Miss

Georgia Tech

South Carolina

How would you guys set up a conference, from scratch, with USF in it?

I like it, but do you think usf would get in before other acc teams like va tech.  as a usf fan though I like it.

For an "ideal" league, I'd make it an odd number of teams, so each team has a balanced home/away schedule every year, and small enough to pay round-robin. So, the ideal size would be 9, which gives you 4 each home and away in-conference, and 4 OOC / cross-conference games.

Division X

UF / FSU / UM / USF / UCF / FAU / FIU

GA / Tech

Division Y

Ole Miss / MSU / USM

Bama / Auburn / Troy / UAB

Clemson / USC
