Everyone is saying they will invite boise state this weekend to make the conference a 10 team conference. They could also invite all the schools not named in the pac 10 or big 10 reports. If Kansas, kansas state, iowa state, and baylor go to the MWC that would almost guarantee an aq from the BCS.
Guest
That actually would not happen... what would happen is the four Big 12 teams would invite others to join a new Big 12 (perhaps a combination of Mountain West and some C-USA members like Houston, Memphis, SMU). Remember, the name "Big 12" carries things like basketball tournament points and officially a BCS invite. Not sure the BCS couldn't be "renegotiated" - but it's a contractual arrangement that gives the Big 12 something the MWC does not.

So would Big 12 Commisioner end up only representing 4 schools that he represents now? That would be funny. I think it is interesting how the MWC plays into all of this. I mean, the new talk I am hearing is you could then see a Plains Conference that would look something like this:North: Boise, BYU, Utah, Nevada, UNLV, AFA, Wyoming, and CSU. South: SDSU, Baylor, UNM, TCU, Kansas, K-State, Houston, and SMU.That would be a decent conference football wise, they could become an AQ. If you then had 5 super conferences (16 teams each) you would 81 (+ND) teams eligible for the BCS championship.
