Media reports have said that it's 33 million split between SIXTEEN teams.ouch that means usf basketball only generated 1 mill for basketball.yeah and when you have schools like UL, and Syracuse that are averaging 20,000+ paying fans per hoops game, and we're averaging like 2,500 (i know it's more but the point is clear) the difference is great. Not to mention those programs have major endowments, and donors, and they receive much more in their local television, and radio deals too because they truly service a region that has high demand to see and watch their games, and they sell luxury boxes too. I've been to Syracuse about 6 times during hoops season and the region from Rochester to Albany is Orange Hoops crazy. I went to the Uconn game this year at the Carrier Dome and there were over 24k people in attendance.This is the problem at USF and why we need the BE more than they need us. We are fortunate that the BE has more NCAA men's hoops units then any other conference, which is another piece of hoops revenue split up...but from that the good teams also get bonuses for making the tourney, advancing, and for having more televised games.
