i'm assuming you mean why don't they start there own network.  I believe they said a couple weeks ago they were looking into it.

I don't see the big 10 taking more than 1 - 2 big east teams.  Pitt doesn't add any market, nor does syracuse.  Rutgers is a good fit for what they want to do with the network.  They might take the cuse just to strengthen there basketball conference, but that is the only benefit I see from them.
