Just in case you missed it. Top Non-Conference Games for USF.

33. USF at Florida, Sept. 11

Alright, Skip Holtz, if you want to make a huge, HUGE statement to kick off your era as the USF head man, this is the biggest game on one of the biggest stages you could ask for. The Bulls get a warm-up against Stony Brook to start the season and then gets its shot at the big-time. Florida can’t look ahead to the SEC opener the following week at Tennessee.

30. USF at Miami, Sept. 27

The Bulls were hoping to make a few big in-state statements last season with games against Florida State and Miami, and while they beat the Noles 17-7, they were whacked by the Hurricanes in Tampa 31-10. USF will be coming off a big game against Pitt and has Connecticut ahead, and sandwiched in between will be Miami, who might not be exactly focused after facing Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech before closing out the year with the Bulls.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
