Skip and his team have to be happy about the draft.  5 drafted and 2 UFA agreements has to send a clear message to recruits that USF can be that step to the next level.  Very cool experience at it as a bull; very proud to see our program grow.

It's certainly a major talking point in our favor this year when recruiting.

It is also key to note that three of Skip Holtz's players from ECU were drafted as well:

  • Linval Joseph DT Round 2 (46) Giants
  • Matt Dodge P Round 7 (221) Giants
  • C.J Wilson DE Round 7 (230) Packers

... this was a great weekend for USF and should pay off in the near future.

Seriously, this weekend was up there with the wins of Florida State and Auburn in terms of great days for me as a USF fan. Having players go in the middle of the first round and at the start of the second and third rounds is fantastic, I can't wait until USF has two or more guys go in one first round.
