It was running, it was just all in WHITE so nobody recognized it as USF.

While we didn't cause the outage and there was nothing we could do to expedite recovery, I offer apologies on behalf of management.

It appears the company that hosts the server (70,000 of them) took all servers down for maintenance at around 4 a.m.  While down they had a power problem.  When sites booted back up, many appeared to be up when in fact they were not.

I didn't like the response and turnaround time, but we are back up.  I am escalating further with the company.

No worries, I got a customer trip coming up and really need to get some work done today anyway...  Honestly I first I just assumed they had announced half the BE was leaving for B10 and all the cry babies just DOS'd thebullspen.

imagine how pissed the owners of the ecommerce sites who host with the same company are. 13 hours could cost some people an awful lot of money in lost sales and lost customers...

The downtime was too long and you are right to further pursue the issue.
