NCAA Tournament Expansion

So it sounds like the expansion of next year's NCAA Tourney seems pretty likely...if you have to be one of the top 100 teams (that's if they expand it to 96) it seems more then likely we will be in the dance. 

Wonder if that will help our program at all now.  Being in the BE and playing descent hoops should put us in the Dance and could help in recruiting and maybe retaining some players

It will help in saying we made the dance, but I can still see people claiming that anyone who is higher than a 16 seed (essentially higher than the 64th overall seed) isn't really worthy of being in the tourney. There will be 4-5 teams who normally are truly on the bubble that get left out that would have a legit reason to be in an expanded dance, but beyond that, most of the teams aren't really good enough.

Also, besides the obvious watering down of the first round, you'll have a bunch of one and done teams that could have been good enough to compete and win in the NIT. If the NCAAT goes to 96, the NIT is essentially done. Keeping the NIT at that point, would be putting a bunch of scrub teams in and the NIT itself would be a joke.

Heard an interview with the NIT commisioner, or whatever he's called, and he pretty much confirmed that .... which sucks. 96 teams is a joke. They're screwing up a great college tradition ...

The other thing that stinks, is I'll have to print my bracket on two sheets of paper now...

Its amazing they are willing to modify something that is so perfect already... but unwilling to modify something that totally screwy.
