not sarcastic at all...

He was a starting safety last season then he broke his arm...

o yeh i remember now

He was a starting safety last season then he broke his arm...

Just getting in from the scrimmage.

The good - it was Bulls football. 

The bad - it was the same Bulls football.  Can't run the ball up the gut.  (I know, it is only the 6th practice, but those are my thoughts).

The ugly - Aston Samuels being carried off the field and then taken away in a cart.  He could put no pressure on his left leg.

Some other thoughts.  Bradley Battles had one good run in the 2nd half and Jerrell Young just leveled him.

BJ's roomie was in a motorcycle accident last night and FCSH, when he addressed the crowd, said BJ wouldn't be there.  BJ did show up at about the 1/2.

Mike Lanaris looked pretty good to me.  We have plenty of good defensive ends.  Hard to tell how good the receivers are because the ball rarely got to them.  BJ throws short passes too hard.  Given it is only the 6th practice, I'll give some of the guys a pass on the throws that seem to sear their mitts.  Seems they went to the tight ends a few times.  Mo Plancher will probably be the starter.  He didn't play much but looked good when he did.  Lamar, when he caught a swing pass, looked OK.  He did nothing when handed the ball up the middle (but then neither did any of the other RBs.

Don't look for an undefeated season.

RBs based on today looks like

Plancher

Murray

Battles/Miller

Based on what we saw we at least know that Lamar won't be used as a pure RB. They made a good effort to get him into open spaces.

Murray looks real stiff...

Lots of screen passes and delays

Very up tempo scrimmage - Coach even got on them to "run the play, too much walking around"

Lots of hitting!

Things i expected at the first scrimmage (fumbled snaps, quarterbacks running the wrong way, false starts / offsides)

great day to watch bulls football!
