I believe I had this pretty close back on March 7th.  So it's WV and not Syracuse.  But still only one BE team.

There's no question Syracuse wins that game with Onuaku. Butler just destroyed them in the paint and Rick Jackson played scared.

the refs haven't helped matters in these games either.  This year's tournament has been pathetic in the way refs have tried it seems to make everything equal on fouls even when it's not.  The entire NIU team should have fouled out of the KU game with 5 minutes left.  Matt Howard should have got his 4th foul 4 minutes into the 2nd half last night.  Did you see Ricky Jackson's jersey last night, it was stretched to the floor just about.

Really bad.  Ricky's right in that many BE teams this year have been inconsistent this year shooting the basketball...or gone cold at the end of the season, but many BE teams are also relatively young like Nova, Gtown, WVU, UL, and SJU....to many were looking for the fouls instead of playing through them in this tournament.  Youth also breeds poor defense, teams like Gtown, Nova, UL, Uconn, and SJU at times would play soft defense.  As those teams mature their defense will too...and they'll harden a bit for tourney runs.  Next season I don't see how if Monroe returns Gtown is not a top 10 team, and Nova too if Fisher returns.  Uconn could be good if they land Selby with Majok, Orahki, Coombs-Daniels, and Walker...Dyson and Robinson were cancers.
